Be careful with Villanova. Pitt is 6-0 lifetime against top 5 teams at the Petersen Center. Villanova hasn't beaten Pitt on the road since 1996. Here's my blog on the game:

I don't have a thorough knowledge of either team but am highly impressed with the efficiency of villanova's offense

I see this as a game pitt will be playing catchup

I admit to not digging deep into these games

so these picks are guesses except denver which is a theory play

I have respect for sagarin ratings and use them myself

I think I know how he comes up with his ratings since stumbling on a formula I was trying and seen that it matched up with his numbers

pomeroy ratings say 3 pitt starters have offensive ratings below 100%

while all 5 of villanova starters are over 100%

he does have pitt winning 74-71

pitt does have good defensive efficiency

I just don't think villanova will miss the free throws the way W,virginia did earlier in the week

they was handed a gift in that game and maybe they use that as momentum for today's game but I will take my chances

I also use the assumption that Villanova will want to bounce back

so while they could lose this game,,I am willing to take my chances

I don't play for big $

so it's just the opinion of an Amateur

is how does scotty reynolds feel about not winning in pitt

this should be motivation enough to get a good effort out of him
