Revenge, how sweet it is! Boilermakers endured an embarassing 70-66 upset loss in West Lafayette January 12th, and they've had this date circled since then. Both teams come in red-hot, but all the talk this week has been about the Buckeyes (just the way I like it), and that's where gamblers are going to get in trouble.
Why not lay just -3 points to get the red-hot Buckeyes at home right? I'll tell you why not, because if sportsbetting was as easy as that, you wouldn't be reading this analysis! Of course its going to be a close game, and when it comes down to it, Purdue could very well win outright... So go ahead and lay your 3 points, and watch as Purdue comes out on a mission tonight.
One little (pun intended) difference from their last meeting to tonight's game, and that's 5'9 guard Lewis Jackson. He gives Purdue a true point guard coming off the bench, making the second unit much more potent. Moore and Hummel will get theirs without making too many mistakes, but its Jackson who generals the second unit and ensures no let up from this Boilermakers offense. New to the site, but I think I have to side with many others here and say the Buckeyes are HOT! Definately one of the better if not BEST Big 10 team. I have to say "one of" because I am a Spartan Alum.
No money on this game tonight, but if I was to play I lay on the Buckeyes -3 1/2 at home. Big 10 is all about the HOME-DOGS!

Okay Boys and Girls, I'm not a gambling guru. I enjoy coming on here and betting my points, and I've not lost or won money on ****** betting, but I do know my Boilermakers inside and out. I have a firm rule against betting for or against Purdue unless its on a rediculous teaser that just makes sense to me. Here is what i know...
In the first meeting between Ohio State and Purdue, Robbie Hummel connected on 8 three points in the first half and scored 29 points. Although the rest of the team didn't do much, I believe the Boilers had a 5-7 point lead at halftime (I don't have time to look it up). In the second half, the Buckeyes dropped the 2-3 zone to limit Rob's shooting freely, and put David Lighty on him. Robbie only scored 5 or 6 points after halftime. aOSU ratcheted up the full court pressure on Freshman starting point guard Kelsey Barlow causing several turnovers and Evan Turner exploded in the second half, much like Hummel did in the first. OSU pulled ahead on back to back Turner buckets and never looked back and won by 5-7. I believe the Boilermakers got less than 6 points from its bench, and struggled to handle OSU's press.
What's different? Someone mentioned it above, Sophomore Point Guard, and former starter, Lewis Jackson is back in the lineup...he's had 4 or 5 games to get his legs under him, and he handles pressure with speed and accuracy. LewJack is what we call a gamechanger, and he will change tonight's game.
Robbie Hummel is a big time competitor and I assure you he's angry after losing the game at home, a career high game was completely put to waste by a lack of support from his teammates. That won't happen again.
Our two seniors, Keaton Grant and defensive specialist Chris Kramer (suffering from a sprained ankle last time versus OSU) had a goal this year of winning in the three arenas that they were winless. That would be IU's Assembly Hall, Michigan State's Breslin Center, and OSU's Value City Arena. KG and CK are one step from achieving that goal as over the past two weeks we have beaten both IU and MSU on the road.
The difference tonight will be bench scoring. Evan Turner will get his 25 points, and dominate his end of the floor. Can the Boilermakers break the pressure and hit some mid range jumpers? I would look for OSU to rotate between man to man and zone depending on how the Boilermakers are shooting from the outside.

Don't tell us you know your Boilermakers inside and then give this big analysis that really only is saying that Purdue wants it more. The only good analysis you gave was in your second paragraph where you broke down the last matchup and that analysis would lead me to believe that Ohio State will win this game.Comment -
