bet limit is real small on over unders. my take is maybe part of the reason is that it's easy for referees to control over/unders. if anybody else have a take pls post

i know some computer guys that are excellent with totals and my thoughts on this is there is such a margin for error with them that its easy at times to find totals that are off...im not a computer guy and do much better with sides ive never even put the time into college hoops totals(maybe next year)...have you ever watched the way a total moves after it 1st opens? these guys are sitting waiting for these things to pop up with there already set numbers in front of them hammering away and the numbers move fast...like books are like shit guess we over/under shot that 1 time to react.....like i said im only talking from 2nd hand knowledge of this there are better ppl around here to ask...just a theory

I noticed how the line moved also the bet limit is so small compared to sides. also the steam moves are more accurate than other steam moves.

The books have a higher volume of people who bet sides, than bet over/under's.

2dabank is right. There are some heavy hitters on total plays. Ed with RAS for instance is the reason alot of books don't list all the totals anymore. There are some guys out there that have come up with mathematical systems that are amazing. There is a guy I have been watching everyday for a couple months now who uses Pomeroy pace ratings for figuring totals & he is over 70%, not embellishing numbers here! I have the formula he is using & I am going to work with it. When this guy makes his plays in the afternoon for the next day as soon as the lines come out they automatically move, 90% of the time or more they still cover the closing line. Well, I am sure it's just not him moving those lines as alot of sharps hit those virgin lines & that's what makes them move. A funny thing happened today though! There was nothing on Mondays card to his liking so he played nothing this afternoon, and the bookmaker lines had only moved 1 total in 2 hours! That tells me I'm not giving him enough credit for moving these lines. This guys plays seriously makes RAS look like amateur hour. 2 months I've never seen him have a losing day! Percentage or unit wise

FACT: One outfit controlled the clock , you know ,they owned the man that controlled the clock in Detroit , NBA , on every dead ball situation he was 1-2-3 seconds slow to start the clock ... added 2 to 3 minutes to the game and of course they won a small fortune betting the over . Those were the good old days . Yes the numbers move and we know that money moves the number, Totals are a horse of a different breed compared to sides , lots of ways to mess with the total or should one say cheat the number , biggest factor is knowing the game plan, will it be up and down , will they play zone or man to man , then of course a point in a total number doesn't have the value that a point has in the game number. Today the players are more suspect to cheat than a REF... Vegas does a pretty good job keeping things honest, but they don't refund your money when the fix goes down ! Why the smaller limit on totals , well to be honest the fact is that more sharps bet the totals than suckers and the information is better and it is easier to cheat the total .Vegas and off shore books have been burnt in the past and they didn't like IT !
