You're actually wrong, they would wait until the game is almost over and they know they are going to win. Then they would let the other team cover because who cares as long as they have the win

We all know how the game ended
I did not edit or leave out anything on the play by play ALL THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED IN SEQUENCE
I watched ever minute of that game, and I agree with GoldenGreek, something was up. This was a nice catch too PowerPlay, showing how "active" Marcus Johnson was down the stretch, and how he personally made sure the score didn't get into the teens, since USC did not score for almost 3 minutes.

Those 2 fouls on 3 pointers by USC with less than 20 seconds in the game mean that there was a "team" fix taking place too, I think.

Oh well, I hate that I was on the wrong side of that, but like Greek said, we have all seen games that were fishy but we luckily ended up on the right side of the fix.

That is ugly!! looks pretty obvious... D. rose likes throwing games for the bulls too... I think this is extremely common..

Ever see the refs in some of the football games in the south??? WOW!

But it happens in almost all sports and at all levels, probably in varying degrees.

Here is a message for anyone that honestly believes that these games are fixed:

Never ever ever bet a favorite. If you want to or need to bet then only bet the underdogs you like. Underdogs don't throw games. Favorites throw games by agreeing to not cover a certain number. If you have an incline that games are fixed stick to betting the dogs that you like

Listen I would say that it is 100% likely that certain players in this country have taken money to not cover a certain number each and every year.

Especially if you look at smaller conference schools where the kids are in college, don't have jobs, and arent going to be going pro. It's easy to make a quick buck that way. Even if they just partner with a friend who gambles online. Say I go to Northern Illinois University and I have a friend on the B-Ball team (preferably a starting guard). Any game they are favored by 10+ we can partner up throw down a large wager, and he can make sure they dont cover that number.

He doesnt have to feel bad because he's not making his team lose, just not cover....and he makes a pretty penny out of it. Guaranteed things like this happen all the time.

Which is why I say.....Stick to betting underdogs....it's much harder for a player on an underdog team to throw a game than it is a favorite

If you are going to bet favorites you should never bet a favorite of 6 or more. Anything less than that and it's hard to make sure ur team still wins but doesnt cover. 6 or more and you've got to worry.

                            Really ? You think

Cause on of my best friend in college ( UIC ) was a bookmaker. Half the team was betting on games with him. Some would call me to put wagers in with him. I know for a FACT he asked them to shave points.

Sad ending to this story. My friend ( the bookie ) ended up disappearing. They never found him or his body. Im not saying the two stories are related. He was owed some money to people you dont wanna owe money to

ummmm no. look at goldengreeks last post. for the most part they would not take chances. this whole thing about trying to sandwich the game to get the W as well is mostly BS. maybe on the lower end of point shaving, but ppl dont agree to point shave for a few hundred bucks as often as tens of thousands, and they dont take chances when the stakes are high. you are stupid if you think they can control a game with under a minute left and the score hovering around the spread. what if the coach takes them out? ridiculous...........if a team is +7 and they are shaving, they lose by 27, end of story

i just watched it and if you look at it, the first 3 pt foul their wasnt even ANY CONTACT. and dwight lewis who committed the foul just sank 2 FT's at the other end. why would he sink those FT's? Cause he knew that he was going to be fouling a 3 pt shooter seconds later

and the 2nd 3 pt foul was off a rebound and it was a wild play in the corner near the bench, two players guarding one guy and he jumped into them, 50/50 call, ref decided to call it, happens.........this game was so not fixed, anyone who thinks it was had a bad weekend and put a ton of $$$ on USC to right the ship and is looking for someone to blame

Heaven forbid something doesn't go your way. It looked very odd, but hey...I've played sports, and I've done some/seen some odd shit happen at the end of games...and in high school, we weren't shaving points. Shit happens, and sometimes it benefits you, sometimes it doesn't.

But, I also don't know anything...maybe it was fixed...but there is nothing you can do about it!

"Hey guys lets fix this game like this, i know we have TONS of cash on the line, but lets wait until the final minute to make it a done deal. That will go over real well with the dangerous men who are putting up the dough for this fix. Lets make the fix a gamble itself!!!! Its so cool they choose a program that is under the NCAA/Media microscope and is playing the final sunday game on national TV. You would think they might go mid-major or someone a bit more under the radar, but they choose the limelight instead!!!!............but lets just get this thing done in the waining seconds of the game and hope we dont get injured early, foul out, UCLA goes stone cold, or coach takes us out late"
