If you don't feel confident that they'll win, though, do you really want to mess with a 9.5 spread given how quickly and feverishly Villanova can score and turn a 3-4 point win into an 11-12 point win at the end (and UConn's propensity for throwing in the towel)?

I don't know -- I'm starting to cool on this game altogether.

i need the spread to be in the 6-7 point range for me to take a team im not real confident in them winning the game so 9.5 is plenty...honestly didnt think lou would win today but figured it would be close.....if you read my thread on MIssouri st they were getting 7 and i felt they would lose but knew it would come down to the end so 7 in my mind was more than enough

Anything double digit, or near double digit has value on the DOG. People just need to learn how to deal with it.

So I'm assuming you like VA +9 tomorrow at Maryland, given their track record for playing all but two of their losses within 6 points?

Exactly. Does not mean I pull the trigger, but Virginia has all the value in the world. After Duke, the ACC is a cluster****.

I honestly don't think Duke's all that good either. They're not a good road team. Soft. Typical Duke. There's a reason they've only advanced past the Sweet 16 once since '02.

I see Nova/UCONN to be around 78-71 Nova.. I'm gonna buy Nova down to 8.5 and hope for the best.

although i totally disagree, i would think if you wait it may drop a little bit on its own...of coarse id be worried about taking nova if line falls...gl

The Nova/ UConn line is begging for people to take Nova at -9.5. The spread easily could have been 11-11.5. I think UConn will be more fired up for the game, and they have played some really good teams tough so I like them to cover the spread.

I'm on Maryland here for sure. I'll probably end up on 'Nova, but I haven't finalize that, GL.

Biggest play of the day is Kansas -8 though.

I put 1 unit on MD -9 based on two pro handicappers recommendations (a separate website of course)

This is my first post on SBR. Hello to everyone and goodluck with your picks. I'm going with UConn in this game. I feel like Calhoun was embarrased with their last performance and will have his boys ready. UConn's weakness is their inside game. Nova doesn't have a dominating front court. I like the matchup for UConn covering because Walker, Dyson, and Robinson can play with Reynolds, Fisher, and Redding. Slight advantage for Nova on the inside. I went 8-1 yesterday, so i'm hoping the trend continues tonight.

I'd be shocked if 'Nova only scored 78. UConn's defense has been nothing to write home about. The more I see UConn, the more mediocre it becomes.
