I'm a little wishy washy on the Fairfield game. I see a couple good cappers are on Manhattan, even though the obvious pick should be Fairfield. Just seeing what your reasoning is before I lay down some $$.

I'm a little wishy washy on the Fairfield game. I see a couple good cappers are on Manhattan, even though the obvious pick should be Fairfield. Just seeing what your reasoning is before I lay down some $$.

I believe based on the line that the books posted Fairfield as a 1.5 to 2 point favorite to get more action on Manhattan. As we all know in most cases all the books want is equal action and they wouldn't have gotten equal action if the line was a PK or if Manhattan opened as the favorite.

Such was the case yesterday with my Missouri State and Ohio State plays in which both covered with room to spare. Sometimes you need to think outside the box. The line tells me all i need to know about this game but if you want to think in the typical handicapper's mind i come up with this:

Fairfield is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. They played a game Rider team on the 12th and left with a victory. They played a very good Sienna team on the road on the 8th and almost snuck out with the win losing by a bucket.

Some cappers might be riding with Manhattan because they only lost by 3 on 01/10 on the road at Fairfield as a 9 point dog. Fairfied has played just as well if not better on the road as they have at home this season. Fairfield is 8-3 ATS on the road this season while Manhattan is a mediocre 4-6 ATS at home.

For what its worth Fairfield averages more points on the road this season than Manhattan averages at home this season. . Fairfield also holds the edge in FT% & FG% .

This play caught my eye as soon as i saw Fairfield open as the favorite. As of right now Fairfield has 80% of the wagers playing their side as a 1.5 point favorite. That tells me this line should have opened at Fairfield -2 or -3...Not the LVSC opening line which opened as Manhattan a 2 point favorite. You might see this line move to at least -2.5 or -3 by game-time. I dont really like getting to point spread discussions because it is like arguing politics and religion. I have a certain style i use...which includes alot more factors than pointspread factors.

135.5 is fine. In my opinion anything under 134.5 is good.

Strictlywinners I know is on Manhattan. I thought I saw someone else on it as well earlier this morning. Strictly always, even in college football, takes the lines that I am opposite of and ends up kicking my ass.

Great insight. Ive been cappin game for 2 years but recently joined the FORUM world so im just trying to put together more knowledge and see if i can better my systems also. I notice alot of you guys, the good cappers, do alot of analysis on the opening lines, and movement, which is something, as dumb as this may sound, that i never really looked into before. I capped games differently.

Thanks again, and dont be surprised if i keep picking your brain here and there. I like your other system you have posted also BTW. That is more what ive been accostumed to using when capping but being into numerical analysis and math models, the opening lines and movement give me alot more data to look at

I have make a 30 minute drive to place a wager on the Tennessee State play. My local doesnt have a line for that game so now i have to go find one who does.

Tennessee State is a favorite with a 6-20 record this season including a 18-39 ATS home record in their last 57 home games? The books are begging for Tech backers as a dog and 73% of the betting public is bitting into it.

Tenessee State has won their last 2 games after which they lost 4 players for academic reasons. Tenessee Tech has lost 4 of 5 including 2 on the road. I like State in this spot at home revenging a 5 point loss at home to tech on the 23rd of Jan.
