Thanks for raising my interest in Northwestern. Those guys are good and they play well on the road as well.

Arkansas has been hot and LSU has it worst team in years. -7 seems pretty low, i hope.

NW has been decent on the road, i think they will give Iowa fits with their type of offense.

Yeah i like that to, only thing that scares me is Kent State has been on roll and Ball State coming off a tough loss, interesting to see how they respond. Ball State has been a money maker in conference play.

i wouldn't put to much into that as these programs have done a complete flip. NW used to be a dog house program for most of that time.

IOWA 8 WINS AND OPPONENTS RPI RANK:

                            INDIANA 221
                            PENN ST 228
                            TENN ST. 271
                            SC ST 221
                            DRAKE 179
                            PRAIRIE V 247
                            NC CENT 347
                            B GREEN 184
                            ______________
8 WINS AVG RPI RANK OF OPPTS IN WINS 237.3

So the Hawkeyes 8 wins don't look so good now as the highest ranked RPI opponent they have managed to beat is at #179.

That means Iowa is 0-15 vs teams ranked in the top 178 of the RPI

                            NORTHWESTERN:

This is a 16-7 team, with 1st time NCAA Tournament aspirations. Their RPI is currently #66 and they need wins. A loss to Iowa, and kiss those hopes goodbye, a win keeps them in the hunt at 17-7. The Wildcats have 7 losses on the season, and not a single one of them has come to a team with an RPI under 61! That means they have beaten every single team they have faced, home or away with a lower RPI than them. The Wildcats are 13-0 vs teams with an RPI of 100 or higher, Iowa is at 192.

SO WHY IS THE LINE ONLY 3 THEN?

This is what I call a reputation line. When is the last time Northwestern was a competitive team in the Big-10, and what is their history? They have never recieved an NCAA bid, but arguably, this is their best team ever. Iowa is certainly well within the realm of familiarity in the public domain, but this year the team names remain the same, but the results have flip-flopped, and Northwestern is Iowa, and Iowa is Northwestern.
