Alabama will have no problem covering the 15 points tonight against Kentucky. This line is a huge mistake, it should be 7.
Alabama has pretty good defense, giving up only 62 points per game. This is the biggest game of their season. They are on the bubble with a 13-10 record and a win at Kentucky would probably be enough to put them in. I am not saying they will win, but they are going to give Kentucky 110% tonight and that will be enough to at least cover.
Looking at this Kentucky team full of freshman, I just dont think this team is nearly as good as its cracked up to be. I have been hearing all day how their freshman John Wall played like crap and they still bet LSU by 26 saturday night. Folks get real, thats an LSU team that is 0-9 in the conference. Everyone beats this team, so lets not get too excited about that 26 point Kentucky win.
I cant argue with the fact that Kentucky is 22-1 overall. They find a way to win, but winning the game is one thing. Winning by 16 + points is another. This Kentucky team has had a lot of close calls this year, they just seem to always win the close game. They beat MoreHead State by 16, a CRAP Miami ( OH) team by 2, Sam Houston State by 10, Connecticut by 3, Long Beach State by 13, Louisville by 9, Georgia by 8, Florida by 12, a 2-6 Auburn team by 5.
Not one of those games was played on the other teams court, and most of those games ( all but 2 ) were played at Kentucky. Kentucky gts everyones best shot, and they will get Bama's best shot tonight, and the 15 points is going to be just way too many. Bama has a decent team and Kentucky is madly madly madly overrated at #2 in the nation.
I think Alabama matches up well here too. Bama plays really good defense which keeps games close. ALABAMA HAS NOT LOST A GAME BY 15 POINTS ALL YEAR LONG. They will keep this game close. I think Mikhail Torrance and Tony Mitchell match up pretty well here against Wall and Cousins.
Wall also comes in here off a terrible game saturday night against LSU scoring only 6 points and tonight will be much tougher for him, as he will be pressured all night by Bamas defense.
I just think these records are very misleading. Kentucky is 22-1 at home against a 13-10 Bama team. So a lot of people are laying these points. Bama is way better than their 13-10 record. They have lost 2 of their last 3 by 1 point. They have lost 8 games by 7 points or less.
The difference between these two teams is that Kentucky wins close games and Bama loses close games. I think it will come down to a 5-8 point game and Kentucky will probablly win, but I dont think they will win by more than 10, and Bama will cover this easily.
Good Luck and GO CRIMSON TIDE
