Several Games Likely To Be Cancelled Today...
    Duquesne @ George Washington

    Villanova @ Georgetown

    West Virginia @ St. John's

    St. Louis @ La Salle

I see that they're all still on the board right now but I'm sure these and others are going to be affected by this storm...

"Saturday's huge Big East showdown between Villanova and Georgetown at noon at the Verizon Center will be on. Villanova already arrived in town before the storm hit."

Might be a nice spot for the road teams here as "home court advantage" will be nullified by many fans not making it to the arena - could be worth a couple of points on the spread......

court familiarity is also part of home advantage. the lights, the surrounding outlay, and even the floor design contribute to a familiarity aspect that the home team does better with because it's their court and they practice on it.

I doubt GT practices at the verizon center.............and i think jim is right, fans will be coming in late, or not at all. I doubt ppl in the DC area have any idea how long it takes to make whats usually a 1 hr trip to the arena after a giant storm. Plus its still snowing, and JTIII was just on ESPN with an empty arena behind him saying "id really like to see a few fans gets down here for the game". Nova has a real gem of a chance to jump out to a lead and then hold on to it...........
