my biggest beef w/texas is they can't shoot free throws. 45 misses in last 4 games, not even counting this game. there has to be way to get better than 59% out of your team, so thats my beef w/barnes.

barnes isn't that bad.. i think their problem is more that they have a terrible backcourt. the only player they have with "talent" is James. and he can't do it all. Barnes had amazing recruits.. they all just left early and now he's stuck with trash

I ment Rick Barnes. He is a good coach, 19-3 and you suck? I dont know many coaches with a better record than he has over the last 5-7 years. Maybe 6 Just a tough stretch right now, better now than in the tourney!

Naw man he hasnt done anything with his talent.

Calipari took his teams deep into the tourny, and he builds the same way Barnes does. They both draft/choose players. They have talent at every position. I would put a wager on TX losing both games against KU this year.

But hell I've been wrong B4. I bet on the Jets against the Colts last week.

I'll give him credit. He's came along way since his days at Clemson. He was complete garbage there. He either couldn't recruit or his shitty coaching got madly exposed in that conference. As a UNC fan I remember the days of him basically saying beat the shit out of the other team and try to hurt them because basketball wise his teams could never match up due to either the talent they were born with, or his coaching. Oliver Purnell has no problem making Clemson a winner. Barnes is just not a great coach. At Texas his mediocre coaching gets masked by the talent he gets in. That said, good win tonight and good half time adjustments he made as HC. He's still barely above average among the elite programs at best.

at times there d plays quality ball but they disappear and try to rely on there scoring ability at times.....and like houli said that is a reflection of there coach

Ya maybe you are right, I like Rick Barnes its gonna take more than a few game slide for me to throw him under the bus.

Every GOOD team this year has some imperfection. Kansas probably has the most tools but I dont like their attitude a lot of the times. If they turn it on for the tourney they should roll.
