Hey Snap I don't like to look at any early leans posted on here until I make my early lean decisions. That being said I am thrilled that you also may have a liking to Miami tonight. I look forward to reading your writeup to see if we are thinking the same way. BOL sir as always and look forward to working with you.

Miami Fla:
6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings versus Maryland.
Last 4 trips to Maryland Miami Fla. lost by 4, 5, 5 and they won by 15 in 2008
5-3 ATS on the road this season.
The underdog is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in this series.
Maryland:
3-3 ATS at home this season.
Miami, Fla. is holding their opponents to 61.2 ppg this season. Miami Fla. plays Maryland close and tough. I see a game in the mid to high 60's and this spread is the largest in this series since 2007.

Marquette:
8-5 ATS this season including 3-2 ATS at home. Marquette has a Home/Away offensive scoring advantage of +17 PPG and a Home/Away defensive advantage of -24 PPG this season. Rutgers will be lucky to put 60 points on the board tonight as Marquette should easily put up in the mid 80's. Rutgers this season has played on the road 5 times in which 4 of those contests they have lost by double digits and twice by more than 20 points including 1 by 30+.
Rutgers:
3-13 in their last 16 conference games.
5-10 ATS this season.
2-5 ATS on the road this season.

Snapper, I dont see how you can overlook Miami Ohio as a play.
They have dominated this series. Their record is skewed b/c of their SOS. Ball St. is horrible.
Would love to see how you would lean on this game. I got Miami at -3, currently -3.5

Miami OH is 5-6 against the number on the road this season and 4-10-1 last 15 on the road against the number. The Home/Away offenses are dead even. The Home/Away defensive advantage goes to Ball State by a margin of -16. Both teams have had a problem against the number this season which for me makes this game a no play and no lean for me. Just my opinion this game never came close to making my list of plays.

But doesnt the sharp contrast in both teams SOS make a huge difference. Miami played Kentucky earlier this season, and other teams in big conferences.
Ball St.'s schedule looks paltry when compared.

SOS is only ONE way to meassure College basketball teams. The strength of schedule can be very deceptive. Often a team that plays nothing but average teams has a much better strength of schedule rating than a team that plays a mix of really highly rated teams and teams that are ranked very low. In addition, if a team is very good it is hard for them to play teams that are rated in the middle of the pack.
I dont put alot of weight in SOS or other factors such as a team is 'Battle Tested' or 'Road 'Tested'.
Give me another reason on why you would play Miami, Ohio besides the SOS.
I capped this game at Miami, Ohio -2. To close to call for me and there is nothing here to make me play either side.

Miami Fla is 6-3 against the number when holding their opponents under 75ppg and Maryland is 4-5 when scoring less than 75 ppg so the Hurricane defense will be the key in this matchup.

Rutgers is 0-2 ATS when the number is 17.5-19.5 this season. Rutgers is also 1-4 ATS on the road against a team with a win% over .500
Rutgers is also 0-2 when their opponent scores more than 75 points which i believe Marquette will accompilish tonight.

Be carefully with ohio and Clemson. They aren't good enough road teams to play in my opinion.

I would think that given the opposition that Miami OH should win this game by about 8-10 pts.
