Not to hijack your thread, but here's why I like South Alabama tonight.
UL Monroe is 6-11 on the year. Sure they've won 5 games at home, but who have they beaten?
- Alcorn St. (0-16)
- Grambling St. (4-8)
- Harding (DII)
- Southwest (DII)
- Ark Little Rock (4-12)
On the other side, Sotuh Alabama has posted an 11-6 record, and has already posted 5 wins away from home, most notably at Florida and Arkansas.
The final piece I see is games they've played against common opponents. In the last two weeks, both teams have played back to backs on the road against Florida Atlantic and Florida Int'l. South Alabama beat Int'l by 12 and Atl by 3, while Monroe lost by 6 and 13 respectively.
With all this said, I am curious as to why Monroe? Maybe there's an injury, or something I'm unaware of at this point.Comment -

One should really be curious as to why SALAB are a mere 1.5-point favorite here. On paper, they're definitely the better side but who knows what's up. A good thing to do might be to wait for HT and figure out a good 2H play.
BTW, fading Strictlywinners is never the best way to grow your bankroll. So if I were to take a side here, I'd do Monroe.Comment -
