Lobos are a damn good team. If they could only improve that FT %.
14-1 and 15th ranked team in the nation.
Tonight begins the Mountain West Conference play
their poor FT shooting was the only reason they didn't cover in the Dayton win.
thing is, SD State's FT % is even worse.
NM is 67% FT, SDSt is a flat 60%
NM FG's 45% opponents 41%. SD St 48% but against weaker teams.
Steals NM 115 opponents 73 - so NM is good at pressuring ball carriers.
38% 3's for NM, 30% for SD St.

SD State 11-3 has played much lesser foes than New Mexico. St. Mary's the only quality team they've played and they lost by 22... outside of that they have mostly played the smaller California state colleges. Cal State Fullerton, UC Riverside, Pacific, Fresno, Santa Barbara, Pomona Pitzer.. does this prep them to face Los Lobos ?

New Mexico is +4 because this is at San Diego and just don't get much respect from Vegas (YET).

oh well, not looking good here.
these teams are still showing us what they're made of..
going to have to be more careful for a while.
If NM really deserved to be ranked 15, this is a game they would have had.

I think I'll have to stick with the East and Midwest teams I know more about from now on.

it was a tough game to call just like the RI game today I took San Diego cause of the homecourt, previous, and NM free throws.

should have stuck with it.. When a team dissapoints this way, I avoid them in the future.
I usually do win.. or I wouldn't be doing this.. last week i was especially hot.
When a team doesn't cover for me twice, they are off my list and I won't touch them again the rest of the year. Betting is all about reliability. Teams you can count on to do X.
Already took some action on Oklahoma City tomorrow (NBA) and went Alabama over Texas in the Bowl Game -3.
