    Portland St +3.5 1st half (5 units)
Portland st has failed to cover the spread in 4 straight halfs. They played at St Mary's last tuesday and lost 101-80. They lost on the first half spread of +8 as portland st was losing 46-37 at halftime. Portland st also lost the 2nd half spread of +9 as they were outscored 55-43 in the 2nd half. ON saturday, portland st lost to washington st by a score of 93-69. Portland failed to cover the spread of +6.5 1st half as they were losing 44-33. Portland st also failed to cover the spread in the 2nd half of that game. I believe the spread was portland st +2 in the 2nd half. Portland st was outscored 49-36 in the 2nd half by washington st. THis makes 4 straight halfs in which portland st has lost against the spread.

Portland st last played boise st on feb 21, 2009 and won easily 93-81. Portland st led that game 58-35 at halftime and easily covered the spread. Boise St is not good as their record of 6-4. Boise st has more turnovers than assists for the season.

Betting strategy: I would take portland st +3.5 in the first half. If portland st fails to cover the first half spread, I would take portland st in the 2nd half too for 10 units. If portland st covers the first half spread for 5 units, than I would not wager on Portland st in the 2nd half. I am thinking that portland st is going to cover the first half spread. IF that does not happen, portland st will difinitely cover the 2nd half spread.

Could this be cause they just happened to play much better teams. I mean your only talking about not covering two games.

I agree that they have played better teams in st marys and washington st. Boise st is not as good as st marys or washington st. THis is a game that portland st can win. We shall see tommorrow how this strategy will work.
