Rider@Rutgers battle of North Jersey

well, I just saw LT Profits is on Rutgers -7.. was surprised it even comes up on a Google News search. Anyway last night I bet Rider +7.
I've heard Rider players are up and ready for this challenge.
Four Rider players are scoring in double figures, although LT's reasoning is sound concerning Rutger's defense. Late fouls could quash my 7 if Rider doesn't have the lead late in the game. Still, I like it because Rider should have an adjustable plan of attack tonight.
"The kids like playing at the RAC," Rider coach Tommy Dempsey said. "We have a lot of Jersey kids so this game is always one that is circled on the schedule, not just for the players but the fans as well."

Yeah, rider isn't a bad team...than again...how is Rutgers? Are they any good? More importantly, are they any good at home?

Rider has played a pretty tough schedule and beat teams alot better than rutgers straight up

i see the joisey boys getting it done--7 is a low number for a home team--sub 4 for home court and u got 3 points--i think rutgers is 7 points better.

both schools are in Jersey only an hour by car apart.

Rider is an interesting team, with lots of 3-point shooters, pretty much everyone shoots the 3 and all their gaurds are big... 6'6 6'7 big.... but they basically have the same size 4's and 5's. the only other players tall than 6'8 NEVER play... but they get after it on the boards, they are well coached to all crash the boards and it shows.

they have some real streaky shooters and they aren't afraid to Launch it. If they are hot they can blow out even good ranked teams

Yeah, Rutger does have a pretty decent point man in Rosario. With more experience this year, that will only improve his game. I like Rutger covering at home here.

Rutgers, Gregory Echenique had emergency eye surgery yesterday. Will be out a month. Averaging 12.6 pts, 7.7 bounds & 2.3 blocks in 23 minutes.

Rider did their job even better than expected then blew it all in the overtime

I totally agree. I had +8 1/2 and was so pissed when he fouled with 8 or so seconds left. That was such crap. I knew going into OT that the Rutgers would blow them out in OT. Wow, you're up most of the game and you're the underdog with +8 1/2...and then losing in OT by 10 wtf is that shit.

Why couldn't they just lose by 2 when the game was about to end with 2 seconds left???
