Thoughts on Michigan State -16.5

I watched Citadel play the other night against Davidson and they were absolutely pathetic and Davidson is nothing special at all anyways. I understand Citadel is at home and Michigan state has not played all that special lately... but why would you not take Michigan State in this spot?

I just don't see any way Citadel can keep up with even the backups of Michigan State.. why should this not be a huge play?

im on citadel. they play way more defense than what mich st is used to. and plus have you noticed EVERYONE pounding mich st... .yet they arent losing any points??? its because the bookies like where the money is going.

Citadel has no home court advantage, there student section is laughable, that being said they do play some defense. Tough line here.

Citadel +16.
Citadel may have lost to Davidson, but on that day, Davidson shot 3s like hell. I don't think any team will shot 3s at that rate for the rest of the season. Citadel on their part play some nice defense. It's no surprise that they're 9-2 ATS in their L11 as a home dog. Defense plus home advantage mean so much in CBB. Mich St should win SU but I doubt they cover the spread. That Mich St are 2-6 ATS in their L8 games also tells you something about them.

I haven't posted here before, but I'll chime in with my two cents:

I'm on The Citadel +16 and here's my reasoning -

People on here have noted they can play defense, but they also have a trio of upperclassmen that can play, including a Washington transfer.

They play at a very slow pace, and these kinds of teams, especially on their home court are difficult to blow out.

Michigan St. just hasn't played that well this year. On Friday, they only beat Wofford at home by 12, and a lot of people consider The Citadel to finish higher in the SoCon.
