UConn has better athletes, bigger players, and the guard matchup favors UConn as well.

7-1 Okwandu C / Tough player, has hoops, and great around rim

6-9 Robinson F-C / Long arms, D is superb, and gets any rebound he is in position for. Blocks everything

6-9 Gavin F-C / Blocks everything, and is tougher than anybody Duke can put against him.

Kemba Walker & Jerome Dyson should be better than anyone that they will be matched up with. They have the quickness advantage, and Jerome Dyson has the size advantage.

I dont like the way Duke has been recruiting the past 4 years. No size, and guard oriented. Only shooters, and they take so many bad shoots.

UConn out-rebounded LSU 46-28. LSU is bigger than Duke

Duke out-rebounded Arizona St. 30-26. Arizona had no size, and was still able to get offensive rebounds(8).

Blocks: UConn had 13 against LSU, and Duke had 4 against Arizona St.


In conclusion, I see Duke taking their usual 13 bad shoots, but not being able to get away with it. Their size Disadvantage will not enable them to cover up their mistakes, and bad shoots. The paint should be owned by UConn, and the fast breaking style will allow for many easy shoots. I dont see the press being a problem for Duke, since they have 4 ball handlers on the court at all time.

I cap it out as UConn -8, but with Duke's higher ranking we could see it at UConn -1.

I think Stanley Robinson is going to shut down Singler. Stanley is more athletic, and stronger than Singler.

I really think LSU is the second best team in the tourny. Duke is overrated as usual. They lack size at key positions. They are not recruiting like Kentucky, N. Carolina, Kansas, Texas, UConn, etc.. Just shooters, and soft big men.

im from CT and have watched nearly every uconn game in the last 5 years. THE UNDER will be the play. Most likely it will be around 140 and the winner of this game will be the first one to 60. Uconn offense is bad really bad they have some nice slashers but the consistency isnt there. On top of that everyone on uconn plays great defense. I wouldnt be surprised if duke won and wouldnt be surprised if uconn won. I would take uconn +5, buy a point or two and that should be good

Maryland was blowing the doors off everyone also, then hit the tourny and looked pedestrian. You cant put weight into how good teams play against cupcakes. Hell Syracuse lost to a small school team in an exhibition game.

I like UConn. Duke is overrated. This is the first time they face a team with better athletes and such a strong back court. Duke looked lost at times with ASU.
