Butler, a team to watch this week
If there's one team to keep an eye on this week and for the next few weeks, it would be Butler. We should find out soon enough if they are a legit top-10 team or not.

The Bulldogs are coming off a rather poor go on the road at Evansville on Saturday, winning 64-60 but winning in very ugly fashion and failing to cover the 13-point line in the game.

Now Butler travels to Anaheim to take part on the eight-team field for the 76 Classic. First up for the Bulldogs will be No. 24 Minnesota, then the winner/loser of the UCLA/Portland State game. Assuming it advances through the winner's side, Butler would be headed for an eventual championship game against either West Virginia or Clemson most likely.

The Bulldogs schedule won't get any easier after this tournament. They will draw Horizon League rivals Valparaiso on Dec 5, play at Georgetown Dec 8, then back home to Indianapolis to face Ohio State (Dec 12) and Xavier (Dec 19) before going to Alabama-Birmingham on Dec 22.

The Bulldogs were No. 11 in the latest AP poll just behind Tennessee, and just ahead of the Vols in the coaches poll at No. 10.

Good Point. With their schedule I think they lose a few. Although they will be a stronger team after playing such stiff competition.

I will not bet any of their games in the upcoming week, for the reason stated in your initial post. We are just figuring them out.

Isn't Evansville a fairly strong team within their conference?
