I took them at -8.5. I like them at home, on national TV, ready to let people know they can go back to the tournament this year. I believe they are a solid team again, but I do not know much about Northeastern. I took the line while I could because I think itll be around -11 at tipoff

I'm staying away. Northeastern is a very solid team in a very solid conference. They are predicted to finish 2nd in the Colonial based on Preseason polls. They return a lot of players (3 guys who averaged double digit points) including superstar guard Matt Janning. Yes Siena is an extremely talented team, they proved it last year, but Northeastern is battle tested themselves. I think the line is about right, and I don't personally see value here.

Home, nat TV, returning 4 starters. Team has made noise in NCAA Tournament. They should get this win and cover. But you never know with these MAAC teams.

I agree with that, good analysis. One thing about Northeastern is that after their first 4 guys, it's all freshmen and a sophomore. They have 7 freshmen this year on the team and a big part of the game will be bench play. With these freshmen playing their first game and Siena being able to stop Janning, I think they have a pretty good edge. Another big factor was the home court on ESPN. Well see what happens, GL

Northeastern has three foreign players among its newcomers, including Dinko Marshavelski, a 6-11 forward from Bulgaria who prepped at Wilbraham and Monson Academy. Alwayne Bigby is a 6-5 wing out of Eastern Commerce in Toronto, Canada, and is the 13th player out of that school to earn an NCAA scholarship since 2001. Mathiang Muo is a 6-6 wing from the Punchbowl, Australia, who prepped at the Patterson School. He is an aggressive defender with a strong inside game.
Janning is a first-team All-CAA selection who averaged 14.7 points a game last season. He did, however, slump along with his teammates during the late season dive and needs to find a way to keep it going all year.
Allen is a solid defender on a team that leans on its defense. He did average 10.4 points a game while running the offense.
Up front, the key man is veteran F Manny Adako, a senior who was third team all-conference and who averaged 11.3 points a game while shooting 56 percent from the floor. I wouldn't say easy money. I will hold off on this one to see how high the line will climb. I think that Northeastern will give them a fight as no one on Siena's roster is over 6'9 so the height advantage is in Northeasterns favor. Small play on Northeastern if the line climbs.

Northeastern +5 1st Half. Tempo is the key in this one. NE likes it slow. Siena wants to run you out of the gym. Of course this is said thinking Northeastern will shoot worth a damn, they weren't exactly deadly on offense last season. If Janning is hot, then they have a shot to keep it close.

Also like 1st half UNDER 66. Earlier start, Northeastern playing their 1st game, Siena not playing against a team with no defense like Tennessee State. Will be real close though I think.

This means 1H UNDER 65.5 could cash. It's the 2H that could take this one Over.
