RMU's head coach Mike Rice has done an excellent job of of putting this Colonial team back on the map. His focus is on the defensive side of the ball and his guys work hard the entire 40 minutes. They are a very unselfish group who enjoys to move the basketball.
Syracuse turned the ball over more than 20 times in their opener against Albany and it had nothing to do with the Danes defense. The orange are struggling to find a PG that is able to run this offense.
In tonight's matchup they will not be able to get away with that careless ball-handling. The colonials are a much better defense team and they also shot the rock better. RMU should show patience on the offense end and will value their possessions much more than Albany did.
Don't forget several of these guys traveled to the carrier dome two years ago in March and played the orange down to the wire in the NIT opener.
Im slightly concerned with the potential absence of Jimmy Langhurst due to a broken finger he recently suffered.
However, look for the Colonials to keep this one close due to some sloppy play from the cuse and some sharp shooting from deep.
