DD Do you find it difficult to accurately predict totals or sides when game stats predict certain numbers but are grossly inaccurate with mismatched teams like Marshall vs UVA? How do you adjust the numbers to account for the different styles and quality of the teams? Thanks

That's always a tough one since each team is trying to set the tempo that they prefer. I look at Adj. Efficiency on offence and defense, Average Possession Time on off/def and FTA/FGA. I then look at Ken Pom's predicted score and multiply that by 47% to get the predicted half time total, and finally some other factors.

Any chance you can keep separate records for regular games vs. extra games?

When I went back to look at my posts, early on I did not always separate "Extra" games from "Regular" games when I posted the plays so it would be very difficult to give an accurate accounting. I know the Extra games did do very well early on but not as well lately. If someone wants to go back and can accurately determine which games were Extra and which were regular, please feel free to do so and I will keep separate records from that point forward.

Normally, I won't post any home team first half unders because I feel that the home crowd can get the home team playing at a bit of a faster pace. I'm posting a couple of home team first half unders, but will not be counting them in my YTD stats, but rather for all of us just to see how they do. Also, I have a full game team total that I will post using the same criteria I use for the unders, but converting it to predict an over. Once again it will not go toward the YTD stats.

I feel it's a must have for any serious handicapper. Over the years I have emailed him some questions and he always gets back to me.
