Anybody find it funny that lavar ball has kept his mouth shut since selling his sons shoes and Lonzo becoming a laker now that several
College teams have been busted for making under handed deals with adidas and students. The media is silent when it comes to this issue. Perhaps Lavar must have been offered plenty of money and decided to pave his own way. Lavar Ball may have single handedly changed the way every one looks at making deals with companies.

dude u are so clueless a lot of these kids from that were getting paid are from the AAU BASKETBALL. Never said anything bad or dishonest about the ball family. Im just saying that Lavar Ball knew what he was doing by coming out with his own shoe. Im not the one spending money on the shoes so i wont be helping him make millions.

Lavar Ball has now admitted that he was offered big money from coaches. He said he didnt take any money. There is just a big amount of money being paid to these college players. A huge under belly of sports.Now if I was ICE CUBE I certainly take the louisville players that decomited themselves and tell them to play for the big 3 league. Personally I think its kind of a silly league and will never get recognition like 5 on 5 basketball.

If the Ncaa doesn't give the kids an opportunity to market themselves, a league will form for the top 50 players or so. Kids don't want to play overseas with the lack of domestic exposure. But a viable option marketed well where they can be paid and have rights deals of their own can work. If the nba turns g league into a real developmental league and allows kids in at 17, it can work there. NCAA will still survive with the rest of the kids and the bluechip programs.

As of right now I believe the G League allows only up to 2 players to be paid up to $250k. The rest get basically peanuts. They could change that rule and in turn draw more talent to draw more viewers to in turn pay those kids (yes, kids) salaries.

More likely though, as Adam Silver seems to be leaning, the 1 & Done rule will change to 2 or None. A couple kids per year will be good enough to go pro straight outta high school, and the rest will go to college for 2 years. This will make college better AND the NBA better. This year there would probably only be 2 kids that would've went straight to NBA - Marvin Bagley (Duke) and the kid Bagley said is the best he's ever played against, Michael Porter Jr. (Mizzou).
