Just a few thoughts on some races at Oaklawn today...

Race 1...#4 Full of Grace 4/1, liked this one in the finale yesterday but she scratched to run here. 3rd start of form cycle

Race 5...#11 Endorsed cuts back to 1 1/16 miles after running 5th beaten 3 lengths in Santa Anita Handicap by Combatant, one of 3 I like later in Oaklawn Handicap. #9 Bankit and #12 Pirate’s Punch are the obvious challengers. A price play I like here is #2 Long Range Toddy. Faces non stakes company for first time since breaking his maiden. His best race came last year at this distance on this track with same jockey breaking from same post when he won the Rebel. Use underneath in exotics.

Race 6...#4 Friar’s Road 7/2, ran second behind Shooters Shoot last out in his first start after 5 month layoff. My best bet play

Race 7...#11 Queen Bridget 15/1, switched back to the main track for her 3 year old campaign after running mostly on turf last year. Responded with a 4th place finish behind Shedaresthedevil(3rd in stakes yesterday) and then 3rd behind Daphne Moon(ran 4th in stakes yesterday) with a 73 beyer in each race. Joe Talamo picks up the mount and I think she could be sitting on a big one in 3rd start of form cycle. #8 Gamine 7/5, #10 Speech 2/1 and #13 Ain’t No Elmers 5/2 are the ones to beat.

Race 8...#10 Moretti 5/2, will be tough here 2nd off layoff

Race 10...#6 Amen Corner 50/1, ran 4th last time out behind Shooters Shoot and Blackberry Wine where he broke poorly but was making up ground late on the leaders. Gets an extra 1/16 mile today and adds blinkers. Longshot play.

Race 12...#7 Combatant 4/1, #9 Tacitus 9/2 and #12 By My Standards 9/2 are my top selections in a very tough Oaklawn Handicap. I think all 3 of these will get good stalking trips behind a quick pace up front. All 3 are in top form right now and I expect all 3 to run big today.

Race 13...#10 Farmington Road 12/1, ran big despite a slow break when adding blinkers in the Oaklawn Stakes finishing 2nd behind longshot winner Mr. Big News. Should get plenty of pace to run at here and this is my second best bet of day.
