Check for adds after tourney's :
Green Bay vs Wright St (Detroit), Both squads 6 days off entering this neutral site bout. Phoenix Lost 87-75 on the road, and just came away victorious by 3 @ home, 12 days ago. We have the fastest Tempo team in the horizon league (Green Bay) facing the slowest (Wright St). This is a very experienced Raiders squad, 3rd str8 20 win season and danced last year, losing to Tennessee. One thing for certain, the Phoenix will not get second chance scoring opps, They score in the paint and from the line. Problem there is the Raiders don't foul much. Wright St is excellent forcing turnovers but Green Bay equally strong taking care of the rock. Neither Team can shoot the deep ball, and the half court favors the Phoenix on the first shot. Raiders will dominate the glass. I feel like both figures are too high in 149 and 6, lean accordingly.
Western Michigan @ Central Michigan, These 2 just played 3 days ago in a 82-75 Chippewa win on the road. Last time they played here was a 85-64 CMU win. Both squads like to get up and down, especially Keno Davis' Bunch. Problem w/ the Chippewa's in tourney play going forward is they have zero bench. 349/353 in bench minutes used. Broncos have lost 5 straight to end regular season. On the court, W Mich does nothing well. There lack of offense efficiency has lead them to just shoot it as much as possible and try and crash the glass. This is Favorite or Pass for sure. The ML is pretty dam safe.
Ball St @ Eastern Michigan, Eagles are team I thought would be near the top of this conference. They have beat the Cardinals twice, 84-82 in 2OT (Early Jan) on the road, and just 6 days ago here, 68-61. Tempo standpoint, Ball St wants to run, and Eastern Michigan plays one of the slowest paces in the nation (343/353). This game is going to be so sloppy , its tough to predict w/ so many turnovers expected. I took that flyer on the Eagles @ 50/1 for 0.1x and that's my only interest here.
Miami (Oh) @ Akron, These two split during the year, and both enter on a down note losing 3 of 4. On the Court, its going to be a struggle to find the bottom of the net for both squads. The big difference is the coaching edge for the zips as John Groce won this tournament a few times early in his career w/ Ohio in 2010 and 2012. Jack Owens only second time coaching it. Using Akron on the ML I don't hate, but not for me.
Pepperdine vs Gonzaga (Las Vegas), 4th game in 5 days for waves during this WCC run lead by Lorenzo Romar. Always try and look for coaches who been in tournaments before, coaching this smaller schools when playing your futures. Zags are just in the Semifinal and this is their first game in 9 days. Some angles like that point towards Pepperdine 1h and you'll prob gonna get a huge # like 14 or so. I just don't wanna bet against 'em. However because of that if your looking to back Zaga, I'd hope that happens and bet them live or @ half.
Ohio @ Northern Illinois, Bobcats lost both matchups and only have 2 road wins in conference this year. On the court , mostly everything favors the Huskies, especially being on their home floor. That being said, I don't wanna place a wager here.
Oakland vs Northern Kentucky (Detroit), Grizzlies winners of 5 straight and split this series during the season. First Neutral site game for both who've had 5 days rest in between. So lets just get right to the X/O's & Coaching matchups here. Both squads pretty much mimic each other in almost every aspect, except rebounding. The Norse will have a huge edge in that department and should be the difference, 5.5 is just too steep for me.
San Diego vs St Mary's (Las Vegas), Same deal as the Zags matchups. Toreros' 4th game in 5 days and Gaels had the buy having 9 days off. Gaels have blown them out by 17 & 20 this year, and yet we only have an opener of 5.5 that quickly went to 5. I believe that St Mary's work on the glass, and tired legs of San Diego, get the Gaels the win in the 2h. Again my capping style wants me to back the Toreros' here for the first 20, but 3 points just isn't enough.
So that was fun, but No Plays.
The entire card is not set yet, but Im not betting just to bet.

Wake Forest vs Miami (FL) (Charlotte), First let me say the ACC needs a better venue for the best conference tournament, I would like to see this in MSG or Atlanta. This is an ugly came to cap on the court, only thing I really come away with is the Deamon Deacons will have a strong edge on the glass. Danny Manning's kids have been showing heart lately but Miami just should simply score more points here. They do a better of job of securing the ball, and Brandon Childress will have to go off for Wake to keep up. Something that he is capable of doing, but not likely. Neither Coach has found much success in this tournament, and obv Jimmy L has more experience. The more I type, the more I can't sell myself on a play.
Georgia Tech vs Notre Dame (Charlotte), These 2 split in the regular season, both winning @ home (Ga Tech 63-61 & Irish 69-59). One thing to note is that in Notre Dame's win, DJ Harvey went for 18 & 8, and he is done for the season. Yellow Jackets finished the season strong w/ wins over BC & Nc St, while the Irish have dropped 7 straight. Also note that Georgia Tech has a few extra prep days for this. On the court, its clearly going to be an offensive struggle, Irish have an edge shooting from the line, which is important if its tight late, but neither will be spending much time there during this match. Yellow Jackets have got to protect the ball better, if they want to advance to day 2, and it helps that Notre Dame doesn't get after you defensively. The difference in this game, is pretty simple to me, its the yellow Jackets excellent permitter defense. While the Irish don't shoot the 3 ball at a high clip they do lead the ACC in % points scored from 3. If they can't get open looks to do just that, then its a wrap for this years version of Mike Brey's squad. On the other side, I do think Ga Tech will execute better in the half court, as they get their points in the paint. I expect Georgia Tech to be victorious and move on to round 2. I Don't like the fact they struggle from the line, if it comes down to that, but lets hope the half court grind that favor's the Yellow jackets throughout, will create enough separation before the last minute or so. Play on Ga Tech +3 -120 or better ATS, if you can't get that just take the ML
South Carolina St vs Maryland Eastern-Shore (Norfolk), Battle of 5 win teams, and the Hawks have somehow won 3 in row! They also won the regular season matchup by 2 @ home. However ,on a neutral court this matchup very much favor's the Bulldogs. They will score plenty from both the 3 point line & Charity Strike, while making a killing in the Points of turnovers category. Im Sure MES is feeling confident off those 3 wins, but remember 2 were against Dely St who is the worst team in the nation. Not that SCST is much better, but should get the win.
Fairleigh Dickinson @ St Francis (PA), These 2 split in the regular season, both in blowout fashion while holding serve (by 17 & 18). Red Flash were our pick to win this tournament, and now here we are w/ the co-conference champs playing here, but not sure what the tie breaker was, allowing St Francis PA to host. The Knights are going to be tough to stop here, as they have a very balanced offensive attack in the half court. These 2 are very much alike, except for the fact the Red Flash rely much more on the 3 ball. It's the best 2 offenses in the Northeast Conference, and both play defense w/o fouling, so don't expect much stoppage in the play. I can't really call the winner, but the #'s are going to point towards a shootout, however, In the 3rd matchup and a championship game w/ no fouling, I could see it become a grind. Think the total could be inflated here. Lean Under
Hartford @ UMBC, Hawks swept the series during the season w/ a 2 point win in OT @ home, and a 9 win point victory on the road. You know this Retrievers group, as they knocked out UVA in the 1/16 matchup last year. They play a similar style, slow paced, and 3rd straight 20 win season under coach Ryan Odom. Hawks (almost typed Whalers like twice during this) should really get what they want even though its offense vs defense matchup. UMBC only has one home loss in conference and that is owned by Hartford. Last year the Retrievers ended the Hawks season in this exact spot. I look for Hartford to get some revenge on that, and move on to the inevitable Conference Champion Vermont. But there is some magic behind this UMBC team and they have beat Vermont twice this season (which is the Catamounts only 2 losses).
Pittsburgh vs Boston College (Charlotte), I just simply wanna back Jeff Capel's young kids in this one. Ky Bowman the best player on the court, but BC is just really bad away from home, their home court edge is actually a very tough place to play, you can get lured to sleep. Play on Pittsburgh PK @ -110 or better 1x.
Binghamton @ Vermont, not much to write here, Vermont rolls.
Appy St @ UL Monroe, This conference is brutal to try and figure out. All I see is a Warhawks win in a high scoring affair.
Arky St @ So Bammer, This one is going to be tight, I wanna lean the dog +4.5 or so.
Southern @ Texas Southern, Jaguars just beat them Saturday by 10 right here. Although it was the Tigers Senior day, the game didn't matter as they were going to be right here as the #2 seed for the one that matters. So don't put any weight into that loss. Tigers get whatever they want here, and roll.
Arky Pine - Bluff @ Grambling St, Not much here, Grambling should get the win.
Morgan St vs Coppin St (Norfolk), Bears lost both during the season including a loss on Thursday @ home vs Coppin St by 14. I won't have a dog in this fight.
Alabama St @ Jackson St, Tigers just won here on saturday to get the season split. Jackson St has won 4 of 5 and its the reverse for Bammer St, losing 4 of 5. However, you gotta look deeper as the Hornets had a much tougher schedule down the stretch. I do like Alabama St to pull the upset here, as I think they score more from the deep and the foul line. They should get plenty of scoring chances of Tiger Turnovers as well. Lean Bammer St.
Alcorn St @ Prairie View A&M, Braves just won here by 34 on Saturday, and simply expect more of the same.
RECAP:
Plays: Ga Tech +3/ML Pittsburgh +1/ML
Leans: Arkansas St +4.5 Alabama St +5 FD/St Francis (PA) u153
Just guessing on the lines ^
