Super Saturday & Rivalry Weekend NCAAB discussion
Big time Saturday card and Sunday is loaded too.

I like Uconn to handle business against the Buckeyes at home early tomorrow. If it were conference play I'd say they're known to come out slow but I think after losing 3 close games to big name programs they finally stomp a young & struggling OSU.

Marquette vs Wiscy should tell us where these programs are headed the rest of the season. Put up or shut up game for both squads.

Xavier is much more talented than Cincy in my opinion, and I think they stomp on the Bearcats, figuratively and maybe even literally... Could have another brawl end this game before the final buzzer just like a few seasons ago.

MSU - Florida should be a good game. I think spartans prevail, but wouldn't be surprised if they have to grind it out with a very good defensive squad.

Indiana should blow the doors off McNeese State... Told myself anything in the low 30s and I'd take the Hoosiers to cover the spread. Cuz that's what they do, blow out shit teams and lose big games.

UNC - Texas should be a banger.. Liking texas to cover but maybe wait for spread to grow.

I like Wichita state and Boise state to beat Utah and Oregon, but expected them to be home dogs... Not favs.

Think Marquette can hang here with Wisconsin. I like Wichita State at home and I don't know about Texas. They haven't beaten anyone worth a crap. They look really really bad against teams that are worth a crap. They can't shoot or score outside of the PG. Big dude down low is fat and lazy. I think UNC rolls here

why? Because it isn't a marquee game? Ole Miss is a solid play.

              My initial leans:

Some moneylines I like where I don't necessarily like the spread option. These are teams I'd think about ML parlays for:
LA Tech, UConn, IPFW, tex a&m, Xavier, Mich St, nevada, Kent St

              Spreads that I like...
LA Tech. They should handle Lafayette. Even without Q Davis.ULL struggles against defensive teams. LA Tech has been excellent there. they've played a tough schedule as well and played it tough and gotten wins over Arlington and Ohio state.

St marys.... Don't see any situation where Cal should be giving this many pts to a SOLID team like this. Yes it's Mary's first road game. But they are well coaches and run a highly efficient offense. They are fundamental and good ball players. Cal lack defense and killer Instinct thus far. Too many pts.

Creighton.... IUPUI is a fade. I love fading them. MO state was down double digits first half against them and still covered. Jays getting better game by game and will keep momentum going.

Oregon is weird.... Tough road game. Boise has played a toughhhhh none conference schedule. But I love Oregon's defense and length. They should hang and maybe win this game.

Dayton should keep things moving they are off for a week after this game and I think they'll be locked in. They should be able to force a lot of turnovers on a team in Chatt who has a high TO rate. Dayton is just so well coached. Amazing what they do year in and year out lately with the guys they have (undersized).

I think northern Iowa will cause new mex problems. Another team off for a week after this game. They are tough and have a good offense. they need to lock down on defense a little bit and they should be fine. They should be all out to get an away W.

Only think that worries me about Boise st is that terrible home showing to Loyola M.. Could just be a one off I know, but I don't like them by -3.5 here... Oregon or nothing..

Also gentleman, your thoughts on George mason +7.5 at James Madison??

Thamer Northern Iowa line stuck out to me last night. I don't know enough about new mex this year but aren't UNI fully capable of a road win here?

I think the under is the play there. SEMO dismissed three players yesterday, including starting PG Marcus Wallace. Plus:

Of the 13 games with posted totals involving these two teams, 12 have gone under. SEMO is 344th in the nation in scoring, and Ole Miss ranks 83rd in defensive scoring, allowing just 66 points per game. Ole Miss is in the bottom 25th percentile in the country in possessions per game, so they would prefer a slower pace. Neither of these teams shoots the three well (Ole Miss 28.8%, SEMO 23.5%), and SEMO has the nation’s 8th worst overall FG% at 36.9% (and 53.5% from the free throw line). GL!

They were up 10 at the half. Still up 5 with 10 mins left. I got -14 and it closed -16. I'll take that regardless. Good call on Marquette

I had Syracuse and Villanova both capped as 13-14 point favs... Cuse is -9 vs St John's tomorrow but Nova is -23.5 vs LaSalle...
