First, this is not a play for me. Too many ? marks.
SC shot poorly in the Florida tournament they played. McLaughlin's nose was broken (against Xavier maybe?) and he looked uncomfortable in the next game. The Thundedome is a tough place to play, and I believe UCSB has a history off playing PAC 12 teams tough (though they didn't cover at Cal earlier in the season).
OTOH, UCSB lost its best player from last season and has a questionable backcourt IMO. (Though Bryson is a stud.)
