You caught me. I'm definitely biased, but as objectively as possible - this team looks really good to start the year (albeit against weak opponents). We're gonna trounce Texas in 6 days.

I can't argue that they're pretty solid.
Thought they were last year too but just needed a year under belt.

Love what we did. A&M made 5 straight NCAA's a few years back in the years when we had Acie Law and Billy Gillespie/Turgeon as our coach. When he left...it hurt, but they stayed patient with current guy, Kennedy. Yeah, sure, we've been a CBI/NIT team for 3 straight years, but program really started to gather momentum last year and set us up for this year where we could really make some noise.

In an era of "GIMME GIMME NOW NOW NOW", I like that our AD gave him 4 years to get his guys in and exercised some patience.

I don't know about Auburn or Bama....but give Miss State another year or two under Howland and they won't be any laughing stock. Positive Howland is paying players to come to Starkville...how else could he get those kids coming in next year. Ranked #4 incoming class and got Newman last year.
