I think Dayton will have tired legs and that is a MAJOR problem against havoc...

there a ton of reason to believe it wont keep up and i really dont get why the amount of points scored against completely different teams matters today?

dayton was playing the best defensive team in the conf while vcu was playing a soft davidson team that thought it be a good idea to let vcu play at that crazy pace. you know that when teams like vcu who need a frenetic tempo to help what is a below avg half court offense they generally struggle when they face a team like dayton who gonna slow them down and grind it out. richmond had them dead to rights majority of gm but let vcu speed them up late and they drained a bunch of treys. dont see that happening today.

i dont like dayton's lack of depth off of a couple really tough gms but other than fatigue beating them i think they win this matchup far more often than lose it..

2dabank, if you bet Dayton you know you are fading a team coming in on the same floor
who in very recent games has been on fire.

VCU season avgs: FG 42% FT 65.7 3P 34.1
VCU vs Davidson: FG 49.1 FT 83.3 3P 50.0
VCU vs Richmond: FG: 41.5, FT 84.2, 3P 47.6

This suggests they can score many ways.. excellent normal FG. huge improvement in FT's.
lethal from 3P. Dayton will be hard pressed to defend the 3 and cover man down low
at the same time. I'd rather look for them to cap off the recent form with a win here
than believe that the game will more resemble that regular season win on Feb 28
when Dayton edged out VCU in a low-scoring affair. VCU is on fire now.

Ive seen one good game out of VCU (yesterday) in the past 2 months... Don't know if thats enough to think they breeze through this game

those fg percentages are way over their heads and a big result of teams letting them get out in the open floor. dayton will handle the press then pull it out and make them defend for 25 seconds before getting a good look and setting up their d. ive watched vcu far too many times for me to believe they are some lethal half court offense.. only way i think flyers lose is if they just wear down from playing a couple really tough gms over the past few days and having no depth whatsoever. far as these teams playing each other and everything being equal ill take dayton every time and feel good about it. ive always thought it was fairly easy to tell the teams that vcu will struggle with, they were lucky against richmond and beating a davidson team that suites their style and hasnt beat 1 legit team off their court doesnt impress me,, ive been wrong before tho so i guess we shall see,.

maybe they are out of gas tho, hell if i know. i would have played dayton prob even as small favs and freaking thing up to +2.5 (gonna be 3 soon) which i dont understand at all..if i had to guess it a combination of vcu looking great vs america's fav covering machine davidson and prob ppl then know better than that betting against flyers lack of depth off a couple physical gms. the latter the only reason im not unloading on dayton cause fatigue is a real concern for me, i know they can handle the press as they did @ vcu only turning it over 8x but turnovers sometimes go hand in hand with fatigue..

im playing flyers but only a smaller type play due to the potential fatigue factor for them.. not sure whether ml or ats yet, i keep waiting for it to appear topped out and line keeps climbing. now that they +3 if i play them when it there or higher it will be ats. if it goes back under 3 before i bet it ill do ml cause i think if it a 1 possession gm late dayton will win..
