Conference Tourny's and NCAA tournament picks
Today marks the start of the bigger conference tourney's that carry value. Today I see 4 four plays that we will be capitalizing on today.

    Picks:
    Clemson pk
Rebounding is going to be key for the tigers today. They arent going to outscore the Seminoles they are going to have to play the tight defense and make their offensive possessions count. I look for Clemson to take the early lead and play defense and efficient basketball to make sure that Florida State does not get out ahead. I think if Florida State gets out ahead their maybe trouble as Clemson does not play well from behind. Clemson will need their points from Blossomgame and as I said to rebound the ball no second chance opportunities for Florida State.

    NC State -3
Huge game for NC State here. This could have them in or out of the tournament here depending on how other other conference tournys play out. NC State has looked great some times this year and others they have looks horrible. Today they have to come out and beat Pitt and have somewhat of a home court advantage with the game being in NC. Turner is a lights out shooter and NC State can be very efficient on offense and today they will need to be as Pitt has a very griddy defense at times. I see NC State playing with great passion today and having enough defense to stick out a 6-7 point win, Pitt has been very up and down this year and lately have been playing pretty bad basketball.

    K State -2
K state is the more talented team to me in this game. As we can see the line jumped two points when the pick em was released and everyone jumped on it to -2. K state has great defense and TCU not a very offensively sound team. This team struggled through out the year to consistently post good offensive numbers and I think that K state will play good defense and overwhelm TCU. Foster and Williams need to step up this game and exceed their average points per game and I will feel good about K state taking this pretty easy.

    Seton Hall -1
Seton Hall has been a roller coaster team this year and have been so inconsistent. Marquette has just been plain awful they are not good at defense and they can not shoot the ball consistently. Seton Hall can put up points, they have a relatively young team and bench but Desi Rodriguez and Sterling Gibbs are going to take over this game in my opinion. Marquette does not have an identity as to who they are as a team and I think that Seton Hall can get up in this game and of course like they always do let the other team back in it but in the end cover the point and move on in the Big East Tourny. I look for Seton Hall to take home a 5 point victory here and Gibbs to have a big day against Marquette.

Yesterday was rought looking for a bounce back day so here we go.

    Picks:

    UNC -2.5
I think that Louisville is the most over rated team in the country, not only do they have problems scoring but they rely so much on Harrell. I think that UNC can keep the heat on this team today and put pressure on Louisville to keep up with them. UNC is a big team and can rebound as well so Harrell will have his hands full today. I think that then puts tons of pressure on Rozier to show up and he is also very inconsistent. Page will have a tough match up today, but I like UNC to offensively gut this one out and win somewhere around 6 points

    St. Johns -1
This team is a different beast at the garden. They have a good tempo of offense and they should be able to keep up with Henton and Dunn. These teams are evenly matched but with the home court going to St. Johns I would give them the edge in this game. I really am becoming a fan of Pointer and think that he is a very special player. If Harrison has it going I think that we have a barn burner but give me a 5-7 point win for St Johns.

    Oregon -3
Oregon has been playing pretty well as of late, and I like them to score alot against a offensively challenged Buffalo team. Colorado played a solid game against Oregon State last night but we all know that the Beavers are a great home team and struggled anywhere else this year. I expect Oregon to jump all over the buffs and gain control quick. The only way I see Colorado having a chance in this game is if Oregon as a awful night shooting however I just do not see it, to much athleticism for the Ducks

    Norte Dame -4.5
This game screams at me. After watching Miami last night this team is very offensively challenged. They have really only three players on this team and Norte Dame is a very well rounded team possibly with one of the best players in the country. Grant will eat the Miami back court alive tonight and be very effective dishing the ball to open teammates as well as knocking down shots. This is probably a trap line because as bad as Miami looked last night I just do not see how you could pick this team to stay within 10 of a very good Irish team, who I have winning the conference tournament.

          13-14-2

Here are my picks for Saturday:

          UAB -2
UAB basically has home court, MTSU is garbage and they should have never beat UTEP yesterday. UTEP went cold for about 6 minutes and lost that game because of it. UAB beat a decent LA Tech team and I feel like home court since they are in Birmingham will prevail here.

          Arkansas -2.5
Love this game today, Arkansas has been shooting well, and they have been getting off to very hot starts, in a sense they have faded in second halfs but they are holding off teams. Georgia is just a team that I feel will have a hard time playing this pace and dealing with the athleticism that Arkansas has. If Quails and Portis just have their season averages I feel like that should be enough to win here but I feel like we will see a big game from Portis today and they will get a shot at Kentucky again.

          Arkansas -1.5 1H
Simply because this team has been off to blazing starts I feel like they will start fast and overwhelm Georgia. This would be my most confident play.

          SDSU vs Wyoming Under 109
I am a mountain west follower as a graduate from UNM and this being the conference that they play in I follow all these teams very closely. If their is ever a game where you look at a point spread and say 109 thats noting, this game could literally be 25-15 at half time. SDSU is awesome defensively and have match up problems all over the court for Wyoming. Wyoming loves to hold the ball till the last 10 second of the shot clock and try and make something happen although SDSU has a great defense at times they can be offensively challenged as well. I see this ending in the 58-44 range.
