I would think bill & Mary would be pretty spent after today's game.

        Lets Start in the MAC

(as you know I hate betting this conference more than any other)

        12 Ball St @ 5 Bowling Green -11

Not much to talk about here as the Cardinals Lost a million games in a row to end season and the Falcons dropped 2 tough ones to the upper echelon of the conference.

Bowling Green won both meetings this year by 12 & 14.

The Falcons should get this win but I have no interest in laying the wood here.

          9 Miami (OH) @ 8 Eastern Michigan -7.5

These squads split regular season, The Redbirds were victorious @ home by 1 in OT (82-81), while the Falcons returned the favor @ their place by 14 (83-69)

Another Situation where I give the edge to the Eagles to get the win , but also no interest in laying the 7.5 here.

            11 Ohio vs 6 Western Michigan -9

The Broncos beat the Bobcats by 11 (80-69) @ home in their only match-up this season.

With all the success Coach Phillips had @ North Dakota St, he is going to have this OHIO team moving up the ranks in a few years. He just needs times. I still think I'd take the 9 here if I had to bet this game but worried about Western Michigan going crazy from deep.

            Another pass for me

              10 Northern Illinois @ 7 Akron -6.5

Akron won by 3 on the road in their only meeting this year.

The Zips are Depleted. They kicked their best player off the team to start the season. Then their starting Freshman PG tears his ACL in late February. Next their best player 6-11 JR Pat Forsythe gets turf toe and is out indefinitely. To cap it off they suspended 6'6 Freshman role players BJ Gladden. Basically coach Keith Dambot has his hands full.

This is Mark Montgomery's 4th season w/ the Huskies, his first's class last game possibly, knowing they need at least 2 wins to get over .500 for the season and qualify for Postseason.

I lean towards Northern Illy here + the 6.5, as I think they will force a lot of turnovers and score many points off the O Glass.

Im not sure yet but the Huskies are looking like a possible 0.5x investment.

              ------

That's its about the MAC first round, if anyone knows this conference and has insight please shed some light on me as I follow this conference the least.

Not to nit pick but Keith dambrot has been coaching Akron for over 10 years. Very good coach. Seems like a cool guy too. I remember sitting by him two years ago at the Mac semi finals as he was watching/scouting for their next round game

And I know that akron has been trending south and NIU playing well but I thibk Akron is the right side. They are certainly the better team by a decent margin. Plenty deep too to deal with these non crucial serious injuries

                      MEAC

5 Delaware St -7.5 vs 12 Savannah St.

This one looks pretty simple, Dely St won by 9 in the previous meeting this year @ home. The Tigers are one of the worst teams in the country and very young. Pretty safe to say the Hornets get a 1st round win here, and I'll look to use them on the ML for a small investment.

                        6 Hampton -4.5 vs 11 Morgan St.

The Pirates have beat the bears in both games this season winning by 4 @ home (62-68) & Stomping them on the road by 28 (93-65).

Hampton is the much better defensive team and should escape w/ a victory here. In this situation however, I'm not interested in placing a wager on this one.

Northern Illinois playing much better ball lately. They beat the top 3 MAC West teams (including away game at Toledo) in the last 2 weeks. Akron is very banged up...1 win in the last 7 and now Forsythe is out. No sure things in the MAC obviously...the worst team in the league can beat the best on any given night, but potential ML winner with N.Illinois.

                          I enjoy your writeups LK.

                          Cheers!

                              I'll take a flyer on Portland +8.5 -105 0.5x

Took Ball St +10.5 for a piece. It's a mismatch but BG best player is banged up and Ball St let 1 slip away in their first meeting @ BG. Ball coach and players packed a bunch of bags for not a 1 day trip so hopefully they'll find some magic.

That said I don't watch of follow college baskets.
