i didnt see a whole lot i liked on this card, couple decent dogs imo.
portland +10... who the hell is byu to be laying this number? outside a undersized eku team and a hawaii team that has been known to struggle off the island, cougs havnt beaten anyone of note by this type of margin.. pilots present some size and experience mismatches for byu down low, if van der mars and gerun can attack the frosh kaufusi and draw some fouls which he prone to do cougs will have some real problems handling the pilots bigs.. of course byu can pack it in with a zone but port shoots it well from the outside.. these 2 played a really good triple ot gm that port won at home last season, then byu did bounce back and get the home W and it was by dd. obviously not a easy venue for the road team but i feel like this too many points for a decent port squad that is pretty solid all around.
San Diego+10.5.. another very solid squad catching a fistful of points. these guys gave the zags everything they wanted twice last season, splitting the series with both gms being decided by 3 points. granted the zags are a better team than last season but this a toreros team that has grown another year together and have a guard in johnny dee who been taking it to the zags for several years. sure they out-manned against the zags but this squad has a history of playing them tough and i dont expect that to change tonight.. you have to go back 4 years to find a gm the zags covered this number on toreros home court and this is the best group in that time so i just dont see it happening..
that is all i have. as always look forward to hearing what everyone else sees in this card..
