Took a look at the card on my lunch and see three plays that pop off the card at me. As a New Mexico fan love to pay attention to the Mountain West and usually have a good feel for those teams at all points. Here are my leans for tonight

Bet 1: Belmont -1 (2u)
Really like this team tonight. Looking into the Wright State team, there are plenty of kids that graduated and moved on, this team is young and lost alot of key parts to there team. Although Belmont lost one of their best if not their best player they still have the leadership and returning players to take this game in my opinion. Think this is a decent play for opening night and a bargain at -1

Bet 2: Utah State -1.5 (1u)
Tough tough place to play, dont ask me why but the fans show up to the games and they usually have a loud crowd, which is always a plus especially on opening night. Utah State should not be a good team at all this year, as this team doesnt have a single starter coming back. However betting on this game and not there season I think that Utah State had some young players last year start to come out and I really do think they have the talent to win by a bucket at home to a team in weber state which to me is not that good on paper or on the court.

Bet 3: UNLV -5.5 (1u)
UNLV is looking at the same problem that Utah State has, and not one single starter returns to the line up tonight. Looking at this game however I think that UNLV has some of the best talent in this conference up and coming. Rashad Vaughn is going to be a beast and Christian Wood is a big body and should be a mismatch for Morehead state tonight. Morehead State is going to be a very decent team this year, but I am confident in UNLV's players that sat behind the 5 quality starters that UNLV had last year. I think that the time difference as well is going to he a tough one for Morehead to adjust to having to fly in to Las Vegas and play a very late game.

Man yesterday stunk. Belmont let us down at the very end with turnovers and sloppy play. UNLV played a tough game and Rashad Vaughn played as expected and wood also contributed, however they just needed one other guy to have a decent game and I think they would have covered. As for that there is no excuse 1-2 to start the season. Today going to try and get back on the positive side, and win the bets that I am going to give as I only see a couple games that I like today.

Bet 1: Bosie State -7 (2u)
Boise State in my mind is the 2nd best team in the mountain west this year. They have a very experienced back court and they should be able to play good defense and beat a Loyola Marymount team that has been weak for years now. I think Boise State could be a very good team this year and surprise alot of people however these are the games that they need to show that they can beat teams that arent good and put them away. Overall the outside game should be to much for Loyola to handle and if Loyola doesnt play good defense Boise is going to blow them out of the water and make them pay.

Bet 2:Nevada -2 (2u)
This early in the season of course I am betting on the mountain west alot because I feel like I know these teams better until I get the scoop of how teams are coming out of the gate. Nevada is going to be a team that finish at the bottom of the Mountain West this year, however in this game against Cal Poly I think they have a significant advantage. Looking at this game I think that Nevada can come out of the game with around a 6-7 win.

Bet 3: St. Bonaventure -7 (1u)
Love the bonnies in this game. A team that knows how to play defense and someone that I think can drown Dartmouth with defense and win by double digits easy. The bonnies are a good team at home. Like there recruit Tyson, think that this freshman is going to be a great player for the bonnies down the road. As for now though I think they get the double digit win today.

Had a great day yesterday going 3-0 and bringing the record to 4-2 on the year. Looking at today's card there are 2 games that I really like today.

Bet 1: George Mason -1.5 (2u)
George Mason as definitely taken a step down over the years and is in no way the same George Mason that we grew to love during their great run in the tourny. George Mason lost there first game to Cornell and looked really bad, however I think that Holloway has another good game today and I think that unless Princeton comes out firing three's like they do if they dont hit a 40-45% clip then I think they lose this game. Princeton is not bad and will slow the game down but overall I think George Mason will be more in tune today.

Bet 2: Mizzu -5 (1u)
Another team with a huge let down on opening night Lossing to UMKC, which is a horrible loss. Valpo is a efficient team and should hang in the game, however I think that down the stretch Mizzu will pull away just enough to get into the foul game at the end and they will make some free throws to seal the deal. I see a win of Mizzu by around 7 or so. If you dont like nail bitting and worrying about your bet till the wire you shouldnt bet this cause I think it is going to take the full 40 to cover this 5.

Nice Start to the season hoping to stay hot as we get close to the 24 hour classic. 6-2 to start the year and about 6 points off of being 8-0. Looking at today's games there are three that I really like.

Bet 1: TCU -4.5 (3u)
Really like this team alot, I think they have made leaps and bounds. This team has recruited lots of young talent and have a couple of good players returning. Washington state should finish close to the bottom of the Pac 12, they acquired a pretty good coach but as far as the guys on the court I dont think the talent levels are even close. I got TCU by 10.

Bet 2: IPFW -1.5 (2u)
Love to bet this team. Won tons of money off them last year, and they were very consistent last year. In this game I think we can look at IPFW and say they are more talented then SIU Edwardsville, and honestly I think this line is very generous due to it being so early on in the season. Edwardsville has a hard time making shots they are very inconsistent and I do not see any recruits that make a difference to improve this team. On the other side IPFW is a good road team and I think can walk into this game and win by 6-7 easily.

Bet 3: Oakland +5 (1u)
Looking at this game, I see a chance to get a good amount of points in a game that could come down to the wire. I also could see Oakland leading the whole game and Eastern Michigan taking it at the end due to home court. Eastern Michigan plenty of times dropped a bomb last year at home. Petros and Felder looked great last game. This team gave a great game to Iowa State at home. Eastern was more of the same in there first game let a smaller school then them stick around all game and break away at the end. I think Oakland can win this game and if they dont I think it is because they gave up the game at the end.

Another good night Oakland choked that game, really thought that Oakland was going to win that game straight up way to many missed FT. Tonight going 2-1 and for the year 8-3 both games that I liked the most came through. Looking ahead I guess I need to post the games that I like during the night since there is no reason to post and share my input any later giving everyone a chance to bet tonight.

Bet 1: Auburn +10.5 (1u)
Looking at this game I know how hard it is to go into this place and win however they lost there leader from last year, and I know this sounds silly but I really like Auburn this year before the hire of Bruce Pearl, and I think he makes this team a well coached team. I think that Auburn losses the game without a doubt but I think that they can keep it close enough to lose by less then 10. I think that it will be close to the spread but in the end I say Auburn losses by 6.

Bet 2: Hawaii -3 (2u)
I know that Hawaii is not a great basketball school at all, and I know that they are usually not very attractive to bet on except the over as they do not play defense and shot the rock all over the court. The reason that I think Hawaii can win this game by more then 3 is because High Point is not a very good basketball team and looking at this game if High Point cant keep up with Hawaii I think that Hawaii can walk out of this game with around a 10 point win. High Point is going to have to knockdown shots and be effective. Another thing going against High Point is the time that the game starts at which favors Hawaii.

Lets hopefully cash these bad boys and go to 10-3 on the season, as I hope there are some out there looking at this thread and using the advice that I have given to this point as I know everyone loves to make that cash!!!

The start times of these games is crazy...12 midnight local time for Hawaii.

Honestly I think that the Hawaii game has everything pointing towards them. I hate using the term automatic in betting cause there is no such thing but this game has all sides favoring them. Pretty nice start to the season making some decent money and I feel like the lines on some of these games right now are bad we are getting favorable lines.

ouch last night was not kind to me. 0-2 and now 8-5 on the season. Both teams really played about as bad as you could have played. today I want to post two of my plays that I like early on and later I will be on to post more on the night games.

Bet 1: South Carolina -3 (2u)
Baylor is god awful in my opinion this year they really should have growing pains and this early in the season going on the road to South Carolina will not be easy. South Carolina looked goods in there first game and if they come out shooting just decent in a game like this they should be able to win. It will be important that South Carolina stays aggressive and puts it to Baylor if they do this could be over fast.

Bet 2: San Diego State -4.5 (2u)
This team is good and full of young talent. This team should easily win the Mountain West this year and in a game like this at home I think no doubt SDSU wins by 8-10. I am not so impressed with Utah as the rest of the nation and think that there number 25 rating is overrating this team. Looking into this game the crowd will be there and I think Utah comes in and gets thumped.

Ouch 8-7 now to start the season. Was crazy busy at the tail end of this week so now that it is the weekend I will take a look at these games and post. Actually a pretty nice card in my opinion today like a decent amount of games.

Bet 1: Florida State -1.5

Providence lost of course there best player from last year and didnt replace him with a consistent scorer that can carry them in a game. There just simply is not enough scorers on this team to win on a consistent basis I like FSU in this game to win a game by about 6-7. Florida State has the home court and I think they take advantage of that today.

Bet 2: Colorado -2.5 (2u)
Really like this Colorado team now that they have proved this year that they can score at a high rate still without there leader from last year. Colorado here has one tough test in Nance and really is the one guy that they will have to stop in this game and he is a tough inside and out presence. I think Colorado gets it done and wins in a close one but should cover the 2.5 points.

Bet 3: Clemson -5 (2u)
This one I think has a chance of getting ugly. Nevada has looked very mediocre to start the season. They had a nice win the first game of the season then struggled vs Adam st who is a team that should be beaten by more than 20. I think that Clemson should take advantage of home court and the atmosphere should overwhelm the pack I think Clemson wins by double digits here.

Bet 4: Boise State +16.5 (2u)
I have stated that I like this team alot this year. I think that this is a big spread for Wisconsin to cover againest a team that is very good team. Boise has such a good back court I can see them knocking down shots and keeping themselves close through out the game. I say Boise stays in the game most of the night and Wisconsin pulls away late with a 8-10 point victory. This is Wisconsin's first test of the year and I do not think it will be an easy one.

Good luck today I think these bets look pretty good, looked at the games all last night so hopefully can win these 4 and get back to a comfortable record
