I am set on three teams tonite just not sure about the fourth.
As of now I'm looking at:
Nova +8
Pitt -1
UConn -.5
Memphis +1.5(?)
$300 to win $600
Nova/Duke - Think Nova is way too physical for Duke and it will show pretty early. As long as Nova stays away from becoming a jump shooting team and pounds the ball inside I think they should win by double digits.
UConn/Purdue - Purdue wants to slow the game down and limit posessions. Won't work as long as Thibbet(sp) stays out of foul trouble, Purdue cannot take it to the rim and UConns D will not allow open looks from 3-point range. Once again I see a double digit win.
Pitt/Xavier - Xavier plays in what I consider a weak A-10 and Pitt plays in the NBA part 2 Big East. Pitt is HUGE they look like an NBA team but for some reason they cannot put teams away. Pitt should win this going away but they wont. Pitt will win but probably only by 6-8 points.
Memphis/Mizzou - This is the one that is killing me. I really think Memphis wins this game and if they win this game they win the whole thing. Mizzou's PG play and the press is what scares me, Memphis starts an inexperienced PG and they will turn it over if they start playing out of control. My gut says take Memphis +1.5 but my head says take Mizzou +10.5.
Thoughts on the Memphis/Mizzou game? I am pretty set on the other three.
