Connecticut’s Hasheem Thabeet has a reputation as the nation’s top defensive player, but now he'll face off against another giant in Purdue’s JaJuan Johnson, who swatted away two potential tying shots in the final minute of the Boilermakers’ 76-74 second-round victory over Washington. Those two blocks highlighted a late-season surge by Johnson, who has averaged 18 points over his past four games. Johnson, a 6'10" sophomore, will have his hands full against the 7'3" Thabeet. The Boilermakers won't pull off the upset here though - I think there is only going to be one team in this game. Connecticut is going to make another good team look bad.
UConn is a -7 point favorite for this Sweet 16 matchup and this is one you got to take.

MEMPHIS VS MISSOURI
Memphis hasn’t lost a Conference USA game in the past three seasons. Missouri advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2002; the Tigers are +700 to win the tournament-Missouri are at +2700. That tells us a lot.
Memphis was the third most bet on team of this year's NCAA Tournament heading into the Sweet 16 play. A whopping 80% of the spread action was going the Tigers way and 80% of the money line action was also on Memphis to win outright.
Memphis is a -4 ½ point favorite for this Sweet 16 matchup and will easily cover the points.
My Pick: Memphis has looked ultra tough going into the Sweet 16 and 4½ points should be easy to cover.

PITT VS XAVIER
Pittsburgh is making its fifth trip to the Sweet 16 in the past eight years, but the Panthers haven’t advanced beyond this stage since 1974. Xavier has advanced to the Sweet 16 for the second time in three years.
The bookies have Pittsburgh as -7½ point favorites in this game. Pittsburgh are +500 to win the tournament (I have them winning the Championship), Xavier are +5000; that is a huge difference and says a lot.
My Pick: Pittsburgh to cover the -7 ½ points.

I flip-floped on this one all day....I HATE PITT.....yes but this has nothing to do with this choice. I think Xavier hangs in and will loose the game by 5. I think they stay inside the number. Just not that high on Pitt. This would be one that I would not tail as Pitt has done nothing but burned me all year either way.

I really like this play and will play this game extra heavy. During the tourney I have only played around 10 to 15 games for extra units. My standard bet was 500$ a game. I played a few 1 seed vs 16 seed for 1000$ and then I played a Pitt under second half for 3000$ as I really liked that under and hit easily. This game is one of those plays. Oregon has no business playing in this game. Oregon will bore you to death with there slow play, press the ball every second of the game defense. But UTEP will have no part of that style play....they will push and drive and score. I also think UTEP can work the boards against Oregon. Utep does not get the Public recognition that Oregon does, but UTEP gets an easy win. This will get back my money from yesterdays loses and then some.

Well what a crappy showing by utep.....Another team who does not show up for a game. And then when they do start to score in bunches like they know how to, they forget how to play defense. No one has scored more the 60 points on Oregon home court. And you score 69 and let Oregon score 75......OREGON!!!What a frekin JOKE. Utep big next game for sure....they owe me some money and Im gonna collect!!!
