    Hedging Hep
I wanted to weigh some different opinions on how to deal with this:

I will win a $1 for $2950 pool if UConn wins tonight. Yeah, I got pretty lucky. Anyway, I want to be guaranteed some money - and I have a hunch that Kentucky will win.

With the spread at -2.5 for Kentucky and ML at -150, how would you hedge this, personally?

No right or wrong answer. Just curious about the responses.

    Depends.
How much do you have that you can put on kentucky?
I personally would throw 1050 on them. To win 700.

You okay with winning 700 on kentucky; and about 1900 if uconn wins?

You can do 1050 to win 700 or 1200 to win 800 or 1350 to win 900 or 1500 to win 1000.
I kinda like 1500 to win 1000. Kentuxky wins, you win 1k. Uconn wins you win about 1400. And you get a nice relaxing night waiting to see how much you get.

This is not a good game to gamble on. Super competitive, and in all likelihood, this will come down to the wire and be decided in the last 90 seconds. Bet the entire $1600 on KY to pay out $1067, leaving you a possible $1350 payday on UConn, and sit back and enjoy the game.

I agree suicideking. this game will be great to watch, but terrible to bet!

that being said, I think I've settled on 1500 to win 1000 for UK ML, with the opportunity to keep around 1400 if they lose. it'll give me a fun reason to root for UConn more; I like them more from a fanhood perspective anyway.
