#4I agree for the most part. The posts that exude most confidence usually lose. Don't be suckered in.
I had a good night last night (for once) and try to look for insight or picks from 3-4 proven cappers. I too listened to Baylor backers and should have followed my gut.

#5That is because during these times (NBA playoffs, Tournament, Bowl Season, Super Bowl) you have a lot of uninformed bettors popping their heads in trying to pick winners.Comment -

#8I sure hope you look into this one before riding skin on this one. He is decent, but can be influential to the point of losing a lot for you if you tail only certain games. This is not one I'd bet the farm on. If you like Vols to cover, go for it.
And don't rely on others ' picks on here. ..doesn't work unless you tail someone over the long term who has proven success.Comment -

#9Skin probably has 5k to spare, so a loss for him may not be devastating to his BR.
For me, a $50 loss would hurt a ton.Comment -

#13Show me a better forum, you moron. Where do they find these people ? "Post more winners and less losers". That must be the most idiotic thread I have ever seen on SBR. I also like the accusatory tone: this douchebag assumes that posters owe him winners.
Seriously though, this subforum has actually become a good place over the last few weeks. There are several decent cappers sharing their opinions and good discussions going on.Comment -

#14Discussions have been good, but from what I've seen most posters are getting hammered in the ncaa tourney so far. Those doing well I am taking notice of.
I got drilled over the weekend so I am not one to boast or sway people into picks.
But nobody owes anything to anyone. This is a free site.
My complaining about it needs to lessen, as I haven't contributed many winners lately, except for last night.Comment -

#15I appreciate people when they admit that they can't get a feel for a game rather than posting a lame "lock" or "easiest pick of the night" for a lean in a game that ends up losing.
The reality is that this is a tournament where unpredictable happens EVERY day...sometimes in the games you least expect.
Money management is important and I think that regular season games are easier to cap than these. If you read articles from top betting sites throughout the tourney, you will find a lot of picks have been so off. Bet with caution and don't tail unless you were confident before reading someone else's post.Comment -

#21Didn't kill you. You are still in the + bigtime since tourneys began.
I would love to say that I've had 3 straight winning weeks, but haven't all year.
Starting to play ML parlays less, and when I do them, going more with 2-3 team instead of 4-5.
Really want to do Mich. St. ML tonight and tease something with UVA +6, but not sure what.
Maybe parlay UVA +6 and Fresno ML?Comment -

I'll give you an example, last night the best play on the entire board was San Antonio -8. No one touted this play, because it was too good! It is really annoying that all these crappy picks show up here, and no quality picks show up here, and if they do it is far a few between.
