that was just too tough of a loss to "bounce back" from on a sunday evening. im penetrating spent - was finally about to be "up up and away" and be able to happily slap a grand or two on a mercer ML or some other such speculative play. now it's penetrating gone. all that work and winning and risking huge balance (insanely huge plays on Iowa State to recover from Duke loss and and Mich State that I had to sweat out to get back up) just to carve out an 8k profit and see it blown by a game like this where UK puts out their best game of the year, gets lucky on top of that, and wins the the skin of their teeth.

Wich St. was clearly the right play. Sometimes gambling sucks.

Skin I think my problem is that I get defensive when I'm sitting on a decent sized balance and so my tendency is to use that large cash reserve to make chalky big money line plays that I feel good about. I am at my best when I'm starting with an initial $1000 deposit plus $250 bonus because that deposit is usually made for an even money line that I feel great about. I'm penetrating awesome (especially on NFL) at growing a $1250 balance up to $5k. I'm decent from $5k to $20k. But man I've blown some huge balances - Falcons losing to Jets on MNF wiped out an entire balance of mine. Packers losing Rodgers and then losing to Bears on MNF was the same. But I'm way up for the year and my balance is safe for now - have cashed out a decent amount and this is "all house money".

I don't know how to escape that chalk ML mentality when I'm working with cash because it's just so damn sweet and easy to leverage $5k to win an easy $2k. That's where I get my rush. I hear this talk about a "rush" from close games. I penetrating HATE close games. Even if Van Vleet cans that 3 to win I'm in agony and wiped out emotionally. I hate that shit. I want 16 point wins that are never close and I can be cleaning my condo or doing an expense report while I passively keep an eye on the scoreboard.
