I am intrigued by North Carolina Central +8

I have Iowa State going pretty deep in my bracket and I love the Cyclones, but there's something very interesting about this line.

The other 3 seeds:

Syracuse favored by 13 over Western Michigan
Creighton favored by 14 over ULL
Duke favored by 13 over Mercer

Yet the Clones are only -8?

I admittedly don't know a ton about NCC, but from what I've read, this one might be a lot closer than most are assuming.

The early rounds in this tournament are so unpredictable. As we've seen today most of the dogs covered spread, and at one point were leading by a bucket or two within the last two minutes. I'm unfamiliar with NCC but from my plays today, I've mostly faded the big spreads or bought them down by 2.

NCC is better then all 3 of those 14 seeds, but Iowa State is too good to lose this game, could be a Louisville situation where it's close, but in the end Iowa's talent is just too much

I grabbed NCC+9 early in week. Debating about putting a little on the ML. Iowa State is good matchup for NCC. NCC is going to force them to shoot 3's which Iowa State already loves to do anyways. NCC is going to try to slow pace of game alot and I could see Iowa State taking quick/bad shots to force tempo. Ingram is a solid Guard for them. Iowa state probably will win but I think its gonna be a nail biter myself.

Central beat NC State early in the year, lost to Wichita St. by 11 and lost to Cincy by 13. They have also beat 6 teams by over 40 points this season, albeit they play in a weak conference, but they beat the shit out of teams. There is no doubt they can hang with tourney level teams, and Iowa St. is small which can be a big equalizer when playing these small conference teams.

I don't know that it's that strange to see ISU only -8 compared to the other 3 seeds seeing as they don't quite have the same pedigree as the other three (especially Syracuse & Duke) and ISU had the worst ATS performance this season amongst the 3 seeds. NC Central played an exceptionally weak schedule and plays a very slow pace, which is going to be very apparent today. I won't be surprised to see the Cyclones cover.
