I don't get it man in college why team kill so much time and some teams play the foul game even though theres no shot of winning just to push the totals over. And yet some team have opportunities to get close and maybe win but they don't even try to foul.. Xavier down by 12 with a minute left they don't even bother fouling. I seen teams down by 20 with a minute left and they foul like shit as if they gonna hit 10 threes and other team gonna miss all their free throws.

They had their chance with a little over 2 minutes left to try to stretch it out and maybe get it down to 7-8 in the final minute. Down by as much as they were I would think you would need to go to that strategy early. I don't see why you wouldn't go out swinging rather than give up, I would rather lose by 25 than quit. Certainly not a strategy for every game but for a tourney game why wouldn't you try?Comment -
I was just throwing a single-digit number out there but you're telling me with around 2.5 minutes left you wouldn't try to extend the game? I probably got too far into my logic but while the likelihood of it getting down to a 1-2 possession game was slim at best, at least worth trying.Comment -
Once again its not something I would do in the regular season even down a little less than that but in the tourney I would be pulling out all of the stops even if it meant losing by 25.Comment -
If the coach thinks his team's defense can get some stops, they're not gonna foul. But the one and only thing perhaps that I absolutely hate seeing is a team using up all 35 secs of the shot clock winding down to the last second...to miss or shot clock violation. Like are you fukken serious???Comment
