Do conferences make a lot of money off Championship week?

Should be done like the ivy league if not what is the point of the regular season for small conferences or 1 bid leagues

i wanna say yes, but im not completely sure. i was saying in another thread i like the idea of the 2 and 3 seed playing with the winner playing the 1 seed or the top 2 teams playing a 3 game series for the bid, seems to make way more sense then giving teams like cal poly a chance when they sucked all season. espn would still pick these games up for sure.

Teams like Green Bay and Georgia St will dance just not with the big boys. NIT will let them in.

if you win your regular season conference championship, then you get in the nit automatically so a LOT of spots will be taken by these teams this year.

I kind of thought that but wasnt sure. I heard them say yesterday the American East 1 seed hasnt won the conference tournament in like 5 or 6 years.. for small schools the regular season is pointless. Unless someone can prove that theory wrong?

Theoretically you shouldnt be able to lose every single game during the season but win your conference tourney and make the big dance.
