I watched Samford play VMI at VMI and they got it handed to them. In that game lots of turnovers and could not hit a outside shot to save their lives!!!!

I no nothing about App State so have no opinion on the game. I would take a Xanax and wait for tonights games!!!!

I agree you never know with these small mid majors. Samford could hit shots and win the damm game. I have no clue on App State. I have ESPN package and have not seen them on the tube!!!!

Ya I was looking at this last night , only momentum samford has coming into this is beat western Carolina on the road which is a decent team in this conference .... I agree better games to wait for

After studying up on the first two meetings between these two the reason App st. won both games was because they had a huge advantage at the free throw line. The first game App State was 21-37. Samford 10-15.
In the second game app st. was 19-33 from the stripe and Samford just 6-12. Both contests were close so this was the deciding factor. Samford holds the edge in FT shooting % and 3 point %. But it looks like App State loves driving the ball and getting foul calls. However they only shoot 63% as a team from the stripe and thats not great. It's hard to beat a team 3 times, especially when the first two were real close. Maybe thats why vegas gives the small edge to samford. Plus it's App State's coach's first tournament game of his career.

Simply based off the line and the fact that app st won the previous 2, it seems like Samford & Son is the play. But yes, it doesn't get more degen than this one.
