Agreed. Would be shocked if this line doesnt move to at least 3 by gametime

I want to take xavier at first glance but a few questions we need to get ironed out before game time
Are we sure Edwin will be out?
What motivational factors are there for the X-Men, it doesn't look like they move up in the standings.
Why did they already lose to SH at home?
SH is not a bad team, they have a lot of close loses and I can imagine they'll be fighting like heck at home and getting the home cooking from the refs. Are the x-men really that much more talented to overcome a feisty sh team?
The line is already moving for X-men but is it for the right reasons?

Given the short line, line makers projecting a letdown for Xavier after their big win over Creighton this weekend and they have another game with Villanova on deck Thursday. Classic Letdown / Look ahead spot.
Had Xavier beaten Hall earlier this season I would have bought into that and taken Hall here. I don't think they beat them twice though. This is Xavier's chance to revenge their only conference home loss this season. They overlooked Hall in the first meeting since they had a game against Villanova 2 days later.... I don't believe they'll overlook them again. Whether they move up in the standings or not is somewhat irrelevant, pride and revenge are the motivating factors. It will probably be a close game though...these scheduling spots can be a bit tricky. Xavier Moneyline is probably the best bet here

Xavier like most teams in this conference, very up and down, like guy said above, its really about situational betting, mostly the experienced bettor has confidence to do that. Xavier appears to have shown this season that they lose this game situationally, their not road juggernauts anyway, the more motivated team wins, what is Hall playing for, nothing really, pride?

Xavier has played very well in their last 2 games - 1 of them a convincing win at St. John's.
I just don't see how Seton Hall wins this one, as they've really been reeling lately and probably not much to play for anymore this season.
Even if Hall has their leading scorer back, this is a coin flip, and I wouldn't side with a team struggling as much as Seton Hall.
I like Xavier in this one based on how they've played in their last 2 and have way more riding on this game than does Seton Hall.
Xavier is currently 3rd in Big East, and a win would pretty much secure a #3 seed, and have their resume looking strong heading into the B-East tourney.

Senior night for Hall, Edwin being out last game raised questions amongst teammates and coaches, his last home game, tough side to pick.

Sr. Night if anything is a strike against a team. TO many emotions going on, can be distractions. St. Marys got rolled by Zags at home on senior night.

Gonzaga is just a better team. Many were probably on Quinnipiac yesterday, I was on Marist, last home game was one of the angles I used for that game, no distractions for Marist.

just because a win would secure a team a seed and have their resume looking great doesnt mean they will magically get it and cover a spread. many times this time of year teams trying to bump their resume and things of that nature go into an away conference game and leave with an L when they needed a W.

You wouldn't think 30 points better though...especially on senior night.

I coach sports at the high school and college level. See it all the time especially when I played. The better team would lose because they play seniors who normally don't play or they are emotional with it being their last game. Plus the opponent wants to ruin the home coming

watch your mouth fartknocker.
just sick of seeing this "reasoning" being used. it doesn't work in college basketball; especially on the road.
road conference favorites have been eaten alive this season.

It happens, one probably wouldnt have thought Marist would thump Quinnipiac by 31.

I like Xavier b/c they have both the momentum and the best player on the floor in Christon. Maybe Seton Hall will come out extra motivated, but that isn't an angle that anyone can accurately predict.

He's obviously playing, pK is the right line for betting purposes, Hall should win IMO, whether they do is a different story, bad spot for Xavier, zone killed them last time, theyve been practicing on shot making, not how you attack a zone but we will see.
