I feel like and idiot

Well, that is quite an introduction to my first post; however, it is true, unfortunately...

I had a 20 game parlay with 18 winners, risking $5 to win $400, with Arizona State and UNLV as the last two to win the parlay. So in my infinite wisdom, I decided to hedge at the last minute and put up bets for Stanford and Colorado State.

I had AZ and LV on the ML and took the points for Stanford and CSU.

I won my original parlay but blew $170 trying to protect it. I am feeling like an idiot...

On the bright side I am still up $500 for the night though...

Rough but any positive night is a good one! Was this an open parlay that you had over time or all today? And I'm guessing ML from like -400 and higher?

They were all games played on Thursday. Yes, significant ML's for the favorites and significant spreads for the dogs for the most part. 14 Favorites and 6 dogs; however, had several MLs in the upper 100's and 200's so they were not all locks; if there is a such thing as a lock...

Missed on a 19 Team $1,300 Parlay because Toledo could not win!!!!

No shame in thar man. In fact, an idiot probably does not hedge at that point. You would have felt worse if 1 of them ruined your 20 - teamer and you end up getting nothing.
I a try to rewards elf if I hit all but 1 or 2 games in a parlay by hedging...guarantees you get something in return for a job well done to that ppint.
I would have done similarly, but with such a good payout, would have hedged a smaller amt with ML for both games.
Don't kick u ourself after a nice parlay and good profit man.
