I do think that games like this forced the creation of the shot clock. Not sure how Dean Smith could do this when he usually took the floor every game with the more talented team. Come to think of it, how did he win only 2 NCs. And the 2 that he did have had significant assists from the other team (Fred Brown's pass to Worthy in 1982 and Webber's TO in 1993).Comment
