Jamie Dixon's timeout at 4.4 seconds was actually
the right thing to do. While many criticized it their collective arguments hold little water.

At the end of the day he had two defenders on Ennis and he hit a big shot.

The most common misconception, echoed here by more than a few, was that it gave
JB time to setup a play and he did. The play was to get it to Fair!!

A timeout calms Syracuse down. I'm not sure how that holds "little water". Theres a big difference between down by 1 with no time to think about it and down by 1 with a minute and half to relax and then go after it. Confusion is a much better defense then whatever crap Dixon decided to write on his little chart. Especially this year because you cant play defense anymore in college without a foul called so almost any skilled athlete can get his own shot off

The right thing to do in that spot? What a joke.

would not expect an Alabama fan to grasp anything relating to the game but
Dixon calls timeout; covers Fair and Cooney, protects the rim and doubles the on point
guard. Kid makes a huge shot and the munchkins blame the coach. Got it.
