Lean on good revenge / look ahead game Friday 1/24

IONA -6

last time they played Iona came out ice cold and fell behind early like 30-10 and Quinnipiac shot 30+ free throws.

Iona does not have a good D but they have a great offense and with them being back at home with big revenge on the line you should get max effort from Iona.

Qpiac on the other hand has Manhattan up next.

Going to watch the line but I did start a position on Iona


as always any thoughts are appreciated as its a short card and I'm not MAAC conference specialist by any means.

I wouldnt really call that a look ahead even though they are tied in the conference, theyve beaten Manhattan too, I do think they know they will get Iona's best effort tonight, whether they can match it is another story.

My only concern is Quinnipiac is first in the country rebounds, but Iona is one of the worst. Quinn was 3 point favorites the first time...now Iona 6 point favs??

i think quinn is going to keep it close since this game means alot for both teams. the rebounding is a big key for quinn like ravens said and the fact they can put up some points as well play some kind of defense. They have to slow down the 3 like they did last game and I think they can hang in there.

Def like Iona here, theyll get revenge this time. Quinnipiac has trouble against teams who shoot good from beyond the arc. Yes Iona lost to them last time and they are a good shooting 3 point team but between now and December 12th Iona has only shot under 35% beyond the arc ONE time and that was their game against Quinnipiac. Now another thing to look at is Quinnipiac is 1-5 when their opponent shoots over 35% from downtown. Do you think Iona is going to shoot under 35% beyond the arc again against Quinnipiac?? The answer is no. They will scorch Quinnipiac beyond the arc and thats when Quinnipiac has trouble winning games. Its either Iona or no play here imo

Quinnipiac is #1 rebounding team in the country against one of the worst rebounding teams in the country. They will get killed on offensive and defensive boards. Your banking on 3 point shooting verses layups. I would tread very carefully on revenge.

Even if they shot over 35% they could still not cover, besides shooting 35% isnt totally horrible. Gonna come down to who plays with the most energy, if QP comes to play I think they at least cover. Thing is Iona shoots too many 3's, they rely on it and dont get to the line, dont rebound and dont keep opponents from rebounding, if it hits 7 Ill have a decent sized play on QP.
