(I'm not a write up guy but I'm sure many of you are scratching your heads at this pick so here's some of my thoughts for this game)

I'm well aware of techs recent struggles with Baylor and even rpi top 100 teams..however, this is a good spot for them. They should be highly motivated, Crockett is playing very well, they are the better ft shooting team, and although theyve lost there last 3 gms, they've been versus good teams and they have competed very well with chances to win those gms. it is a consensus opinion among techs coaching staff that the team is playing much better as a unit lately..tubby smith has been here before. I picked them as a 6 pt dog against a powerful Iowa St club a few weeks back and they found themselves in a big hole at halftime. They came out the second half and stormed all the way back to take the lead only to blow it with some bad breaks. The 11pts they lost by doesn't tell the tale of the game. Texas tech can hang tonight, maybe even win. Good luck tonight.

System started when conference play began. Texas tech is a qualifier. Remember, I use the system as a handicapping tool this time of year. Lots of other variables to take into account when the system has qualifiers. Remember, lopsided public bets win too. I played michigan st on the road vs penn state as double digit, heavy favorites back on New Year's Eve. They covered easily. Have some faith Murphy...Bol tonight
