Illinois +10(-110) at Wisconsin

I know the Kohl Center in Wisconsin is one of the toughest places to play but simmer down a little, we're gambling here. It's all about the point spread unless you're playing moneylines. 10 is a little much. Illinois is no Northwestern. A nice trend which I usually don't invest to much in, is Illinois is 23-2 when scoring at least 70 points under coach John Groce. Bo Ryan has given his guys freedom to play more of an uptempo style this year and this game should be fun to watch. I expect Illinois to stay within reach the whole game.

I agree I believe Wisconsin wins here by I am tiptoeing in here because my badgers failed to cover against Iowa. In fact Iowa should have won if the head coach didn't get a double technical. I am trying to get back my money on this one by betting on Illinois and taking the 10 points. GO BADGERS!!

With -10/125 Illinois' expected total is about 57/58, so yeah, 70 would be a shocker.

Total opened at 122.5 and I was once click away from hitting the over but I was more content on just getting the 10. It's at 127 now. Line movement suggests to me people have the same mindset I had handicapping this game. I think there will be some serious amount of back and forth fast paced play to this game tonight. I'm just more focused on the spread.

We're getting double digits in one basketball game between two teams who aren't that far apart talent wise, in my view. Illinois has been battle tested and proven to hang with quality teams this year such as Missouri and Oregon. If anything, you know Illinois is going to bring it because who wouldn't want to knock off an unbeaten in your conference?

We all know Wisconsin is a great team and has been battle tested this year as well, in fact I have them as one of the teams to win it all but from a gambling perspective, I'm not laying 10 against Illinois. It's better to receive than give, at least for tonight.

Make that 23-3 when scoring 70. 165 points in a game without overtime. One strange game. Not sure why I didn't just bet over but hindsight is always 20/20. We'll get them tomorrow.
