    Early Game Rice at Texas
I'm at work and just a little bored. Saw this game starts at 2:00. I've been really impressed with Texas so far this season. They don't have gobs of talent but they play well together and they play good defense. They've got good size down low and they've been getting really good play and production from their PG. They went on the road and beat UNC and they fought tooth and nail with Mich State for 32 minutes before MSU finally pulled away. I'm not familiar with Rice so if anyone wants to chime in feel free. They have played one common opponent in Houston Baptist. Texas beat Houston Baptist by 28. Rice lost to Houston Baptist by 2. Texas hasn't played since Dec. 21st so they may come out a little rusty. The spread is -18. I'm leaning towards taking Texas. Any thoughts?

Leaning towards Texas? I was leaning towards Rice only because they have 2 good big guys who are both not only tall but heavy. One is 6'9 265 and one is 6'10 290 lbs. I think they will be able to bang down low and at least do their best to try and keep Texas off the boards. Both teams are young so I am wondering how well they took care of themselves over the break or if they got a little reckless and are going to be a little out of shape. I am interested too how many people will be at the stadium today since I think the student are still likely on break. Texas crowds seem to always be pretty decent though. They both aren't great at free throws and they both average 13 TO's per game. 18 seems like a lot of points to be spotted, but at the same time that is when a team like Texas ends up winning by 30 and you feel dumb for taking the points. Anyway just wanted to share my thoughts with you....I am not sure I am going to come out with a pick out of this mess of data, but I will let you know if I do. BOL with you if you play Texas

Looked good except Rice is Rice, no need to cap shit teams. I'm on the under so hopefully there is no miraculous 80pt half

Yeah I didn't end up picking Rice just because there wasn't enough data to support that choice especially since they rely heavily on the scoring of one player (He is a senior his name is something like Ramyck or something). I figured Texas would have long, athletic guard they could put on him and then Rice would have nowhere else to get scoring from. You never know what could happen in the second half, but I am happy to not be involved In this game. Good luck on your under!
