My ACC Play of the Day
Well, drop last nights ACC best bet on VT as they seem to have packed it in for the year. On a bit of a slide in recent days but looking to weather the storm with this Thursday play.

    Strong play today:

    Duke -11

Not much to say about this one except St. Johns are aweful on the offensive end and Duke is one of the best defensive teams in the ACC and the nation for that matter. This is a complete mismatch, it has been for years. Last year Duke completely demolished St Johns 86-56. The Johnies get Duke coming off 2 straight losses in which the Dukies were terrible on the defensive end, you can bet Duke will be bringing their defense to N.Y. In the 6 games St Johns faced top 25 teams this season (Marquette - 2, UConn, Louisville, Pitt, Villinova) they are only averaging 58 ppg. This screams route.

St Johns has played 3 other ACC teams this season 2 home games at Madison Square Garden both games loses by 14 to Miami and VT. Other was a 12 point road loss to BC. If they couldn't cover 11 against these 3 teams I just don't see how they will cover against a defense like Duke.

I am guessing we see a final score like 79-56.

    Good Luck!

Duke is a very tricky team because they literally live and die by the 3. Other teams like UNC can resort to the post up, while Wakeforest can penetrate and dishout with their athleticism. Duke is really one dimensional, but I don't see them not playing well two games in a row. Especially against a far inferior opponent then the previous two they just lost to.

line already to 12, i see where you guys are coming from but St Johns has no shooters and all shots will be contested, Duke has won huge for several years now, i will put my money on them, 11 just isn't enough points to give a st johns team that has been beaten by double digits by everyone, fade if you want, might not be a bad idea as i have been alittle cold of late
